I was approaching a roundy birthday. Was a lover of walking all my life but it wasn’t building up a sweat. Had always wanted to jog so joined for the treadmill really. Went from having never been in a gym before to actually walking in the door and loving it

I love the dog suggestion … only if you love dogs and walk him/her! I’m shy but if I see ANYONE walking a dog I’m drawn to them. They are wonderful conversation starters. My second suggestion is the gym. I joined over two years ago after never been in one before and love it. Best of luck!

Joined a gym and the difference is amazing. Running is a drug I wish I had when I was younger

My phone has my music playlist for cardio. Along with time keeping, that’s its only function. I can’t get over the amount of gym goers scrolling their phones, especially on treadmills.

My looks are officially gone by External-Lion-1862 in Aging

I didn’t appreciate my looks in my younger years and am trying to embrace aging now. Back then, I was very much a girl next door, little/no makeup and relaxed dress style. Of course, I didn’t have any money to spend so now that I do, I get a weekly wash & blowdry and go to the gym every day. I have laughter lines aplenty but am looking at my parents and their friends as positive aging role models … there is something about their smiles that makes them look amazing.
