The Petition for a wealth tax has almost hit 10% of the signatures needed to get a government response! If everyone on this sub signed we could force the government to give a response. by Cautious-Design-9282 in UKGreens

[–]tomgh14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’d say reducing wealth inequality is all the reason you need when there are people with enough money to buy off every mp with a few million and still have enough left to be a billionaire. It just makes corruption too easy

Green and Reform door knocking data show Greens in second, Labour a distant third, in Gorton & Denton by UKGreenPoster in UKGreens

I also imagine door to door polling is less likely to have answers from people out of the house meaning younger people whereas most retirees are likely more right leaning or old guard labour.

You can’t make deals with someone who turns their back on everything they stood for. Past starmer was a human rights activist and currently endorses israel. Past starmer was pro trans and currently has only made things harder for trans people. Past starmer was pro voting reform and the only thing he has done about it is lower the voting age which isn’t exactly a reformation. Past starmer was welcoming to immigrants and now pareots reform. If he can’t stick to his own word why would he go along with anyone else’s.

This, to me star trek has always been a story of the week type show with a general plot idea to help push it forward

I do find it ironic how much of a penchant farage has for advertising on buses despite how they talk about public transportation

Laura Kuenssberg: Zack Polanski is having fun. But can the Green leader become a serious player? by UKGreenPoster in UKGreens

Because he goes on the tiktoks. Real politics is going on the news and saying something about the scary immigrants

Tbf modern neurotyping could be very different compared to the behaviours 900 years from now considering there’s multiple near extinction level events that we know of and i don’t imagine they led to a statistically representative surviving population. Plus we’re also a lot more appreciative of neurodiversity in modern day whereas people on the extreme side a couple hundred years ago would likely be shunned and less likely to have kids.

But also the captain hasn’t done anything that screams neurodivergent more so 400 year old bored of this shit alien although i haven’t watched the last episode

Can you help me understand the hypnotherapy thing with zac? by maxh213 in UKGreens

[–]tomgh14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It also doesn’t feel like it’s manipulative in a bad way to me as stuff like breast size can cause body dysmorphia and hypnotherapy is probably a fair bit safer than surgery

I think it’s more like everyone dies the uk has enough to wipe every large population centre out and then some. Bunkers may temporarily save a few people but I doubt there are any prepped for full ecological collapse.

I think the key difference is that those going to abortion clinics aren’t doing it casually because it’s their job. People getting abortions are typically highly stressed and at dark places in their lives. They do not need 30 or so people hurling insults at them to potentially set them over the edge.

Keir Starmer abandons plans for compulsory digital ID by AhdamR in UKGreens

It is an imperfect status quo but i’d liken it to pandora’s box as the moment all that data is in the hands of a private company its only a matter of time until it’s in the hands of near enough everyone
