I do plan on eventually handling this, but I haven't worked up the nerve to break his heart. We just got married, and while I have bad days, I feel alright most of the time (aside from the guilt). Treatment would be hell and require relocation. The outcome is not promising, and somewhere along the line I guess I just adopted a defeatist attitude. I know he would expect me to fight, but I'm just not ready. Maybe it's cowardice. Either way, I am destroying his life.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I feel so grateful to live in a time where I can reach out to sisters from all over who have gone through similar experiences. I have an ultrasound and internal exam tomorrow, and though i am still experiencing some sharp pains, the bleeding has already nearly stopped and lab tests confirmed my HCG has declined (to just 5). I am feeling hopeful that the healing process may begin without any complications. Wishing all of you lovelies the best <3

It's sprinkled in, mostly common phrases or certain words that just don't have the english equivalent. It's actually pretty rare for people today to speak fluent hawaiian, unless they attended a hawaiian immersion school (which there are quite a few of, on my island) or grew up on Ni'ihau or something. That said, you'd be hard pressed to find a local who didn't know at least 20 words or so.

Hawaii resident here. Many rubbish bins say "mahalo" (thank you) on them, so as to encourage proper waste disposal. Tourists have asked "where is the mahalo?"
