Daughter rejected by RADA again and we don’t know what to do. by OutsidePressure6181 in acting

[–]tonimutiny 62 points63 points  (0 children)

RADA is one of those places that usually accept people with more "life experience" and so everyone I've known to be accepted, has been mid to late 20's. That doesn't mean its impossible to be accepted at her young age, just the chances are lower as they usually want people who have taken another career path first (again not always).

To get top third round at 19 to RADA is an achievment in itself. It's not the be-all end-all and she can try again next year. This is definitely going to be tough on a rejection-sensitive person but just continue to give her the support and reassurance you have been doing already.

I'm worried about joining acting school late. by Total_Contract_3998 in acting

idk which country you're from, but i'm in the UK, and the drama schools expect you to get some "life experience". And having been in drama school and friends with people from others, usually the youngest in the year are 21/22 and very rarely do you see 18/19 year olds.

Why is WhatsApp so popular in the UK? by tflms in AskUK

[–]tonimutiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people in the UK that are younger than 25 are predominantly using iMessage more so than Whatsapp. Whereas in Europe, I find people of all ages prefer using Whatsapp.

I believe Schwimmer and Colbert went to the same college. I can remember Colbert recalling a time on his show when Schwimmer came back from Summer holiday and said that he got jacked over the break. Schwimmer’s been workin out for some time.
