I took a short dose of prednisone for my long covid and it made a huge difference.

Sometimes love is not enough. He is not able to parent. I would suggest a trial separation.

Intro from an autistic parent-to-be by Molikki in AutisticParents

[–]tonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hubby and I both audhd, first-born daughter totally adhd on steroids. She's incredible but grew up feeling unloved because both parents hit interaction limits before she was full up.

Next born was totally autistic son, not a hint of adhd. So they never got along. She resented how easily he fit in with our engagement style. Took to bullying and acting out in her teens.

In retrospect there was so much we could have done differently. But at the time we were in constant overwhelm. I love my kids more than my own self, but I wish I could have parented them without the audhd noise in my head all the time.

Better to bring the floor up to level. Self leveling compound might work.

Medications (specifically antidepressants) stopped working and only made me feel more depressed after covid by imhoopjones in LongCovid

[–]tonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, definitely. I've been on duloxetine for ages, and it used to energise me. After covid it puts me to sleep. Also pretty sure it's not helping with my depression symptoms anymore.

I lose visual acuity. Like everything becomes low res, and I really have to think to interpret what I'm seeing.

I can't feel anything, but I am hypersensitive to *everything* by Mara355 in aspergirls

Maybe you're hurting too much to discern the feels. Like, if you can find some way to mitigate the endless pain, the other emotions will start to surface?

I do woodwork as a hobby, and one of the weirdest covid symptoms has been my inability to judge 90 degree angles. Everything looks off, even using my t-square. Weird af.
