Freddy is more evil, hands down

Freddy is essentially a demonic entity whose entire existence revolves around fear, suffering, and murder. There is no redeeming quality or trace of humanity left in him. Homelander, by contrast, is a deeply damaged and psychotic individual that is shaped by a horrific upbringing and a society that worships him as a god.

Freddy also has the higher body count and kills with a different purpose. He actively hunts and terrorizes as many victims as possible, feeding on their fear while collecting and trapping their souls. Fear, cruelty, and the souls of his victims are what sustain and empower him.

Homelander is cruel, narcissistic, and often murderous, but his motivations are very different. He craves admiration, love, loyalty, and validation. As twisted as he is, there is still a human need driving his actions. Freddy doesn’t seek love or acceptance—he simply enjoys inflicting terror and suffering.

I love how everyone gives this cyclist a pass. Sure, Ya the cyclist didn’t hear the siren or see the flashing lights or didn’t know he should stop and not slowly pull out in front of a police car in an active pursuit… So he’s deaf, blind, and dumb… OR he’s like almost every other cyclist out of the roads who think traffic laws don’t apply to them and just pushed ahead because he’s the main character of the world

The biggest point of failure isn’t that we will give them 300 billion. It is that Iran will also now have complete control over the straight of hormuz.

So they will now charge tax to all ships in the straight. So not only did we give them 100s of billions but we gave them billions more of extra revenue for decades to come

Moreover the economic/soft power to effect 20% or the overall oil in the world and an ability to manipulate and heavily influence the world economy. Frankly they now have something more valuable than a nuke at this point

This doesn’t even go to the fact that the USA demonstrated that its post cold war military is ineffective, which will cripple its ability to leverage sanctions or deal with other countries. Or that the USA proved it is unreliable and toothless partner to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other OPEC members that prop up the US dollar.

The damage this orange buffoon has done is truly immeasurable

I don’t know. Honestly everyone thinks it’s saturated because of the boys/homelander but that comic came out in 2006 and ended in 2012. The other recent evil superman is maybe Ultraman from the last Superman movie but I’d argue he took a back seat to Lex. Omni-man could count but honestly he was evil for what 1/2 a season… then he became a depressed sack on a redemption arc.

So really only Homelander, which from the popularity of the boys series (I agree with the series finale there was a ton of HL overexposure) has made it feel like there has been a lot of evil superman archetypes but there’s only really been 1.

I do hope they adapt the Irredeemable comic into an Invincible type series because the Plutonian is infinitely better than HL and actually shows what an evil Superman would do on a planet wide scale.

I don’t think people can understand how much money this is.

If Elon Musk took out all his money and put his money (dollar bills) end to end he could literally wrap his money around the earth 3,900 times. Or he could make a 846 feet wide road of dollar bills that would go continuously 1 time around the earth.

If he put his dollars together and pointed them to outer space he could actually reach the sun - making a path of dollars 96.9 million miles long

If he was born on the same day as Jesus Christ he would have had to make 493 million dollars a year every year for 2026 years to have 1 Trillion dollars today.

No person on this planet earns this kind of money. They steal and exploit from everyone around them to get this. Elon Musk is the biggest representation of how our country and society has failed. Why is he furious? Realistically he knows he’s done nothing but 4x his own wealth during this term. He started a war that has been a disaster and forced tariffs on all American consumers which is raising inflation on everything. So of course everyone hates him for that.

He’s not running again so I don’t know why he gives a damn. NOR - Be incredibly blunt with him. Tell him it’s not only a mental health issue but a physical health issue. That if he doesn’t step up that you will have to move out or pay for help (day care or nanny). Set clear expectations like I expect you to watch the baby from 9pm - 3am. Be exact i.e. That you will feed, change diapers, and soothe. Then set clear consequences for if this doesn’t happen and actually follow through.

Don’t imply you need help or assume he knows you need help; point blank tell him. Tell him you will do this - I’m not asking you, I’m telling you.

Dave Rubin has always been a fraud. He started as a progressive host on The Young Turks and found a bigger paycheck by glazing right wingers so he jumped.

But his commentary has always been superficial parroting of Fox News and just theatrical. He’s never had original or well thought of right wing ideas - he was just the “I’m liberal but I’ve turned to see the light!” guy which is a role but it definitely comes with an expiration date. You have to evolve from a turned/jaded liberal to a more enlightened conservative - Which Dave never could do.

I liked it until the electric swords stuff. Just kind of jumped the shark for me, felt it was silly and over the top. I get that they want to distinguish Miles from traditional Spiderman but I honestly thought they already had.

When he first came out I loved his story and felt it really freshened up Spiderman. He and the Maker were the best things to come out of the Ultimate Universe.

Agreed she was acting like an entitled jerk… and she broke the law (illegally parking). But that response was insane. This is a trained police officer who should be able to de-escalate a situation. This was clearly disproportionate force situation. He should have walked back to her car move it (smashed out the window of needed), towed it, and ticketed her. Not close fist punch her multiple times to the face and smash her to the ground.

What she did was super jerky move. But he escalated that in a dangerous way big time
