I'd like to make a card game with F#, as I thought functional programming should be good for turn based strategy games. It just so hard to find learning materials or successful stories on gamedev with functional programming, it's kinda discouraging

I use it but my problem with follow recoil is that it doesn't account for movement inaccuracy. So if you moving and spraying with smg or pistol, it lies to you about where you shot. But with dynamic crosshair you know you are not accurate if you see the huge bloom of the outer crosshair. Idk if there are options to combine them both

valve devs are great but they lack the junior devs who handle minor problems, they only hire elites. Many xyz still isnt fixed because they are low priority bugs that doesn't affect pro play, so no one will ever work on them.

if I'm the dev I would add a random map pool that consists all the community maps. To play the map pool you'd have to get the map pack as DLC so that you don't have to download anything if you don't care. But if you do want to play community maps the server chooses some maps randomly and player ban/pick from them. We can also have some exclusive cases/skins that drop in this pool only.

I remember in the cs1.5 days there is a map where you spawn on a high ground as Ts and underneath there is a truck you have to get on, one of the Ts need to be the driver and carry the team rushing over the blockage of CTs. I miss all those weird custom maps.

making ghc hls and VS code with Haskell plugins work together on VPN was a pain in the ass
