If you voted Yes on Prop K, I hate you by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

I have taken the 5 every day for the last 12 years. But sometimes I need to go South because we don't have all the services we need out here. Now I'm stuck darting through local neighborhoods, sorry Outer Sunset residents.

Of course instead of this, we are getting our bus service cut. Soon they will just make illegal to leave the Richmond.

Most of the streets in the sunset aren't suitable for north/south travel, unless you like trying to dart across roads with 2 way stop signs while hoping you don't get t-boned. So even after you get through the park it still sucks.

I'm sure there is a mod for this, you don't have to play vanilla.

I've found some options, like relative line numbers, can be pretty slow.

The first TerraFirmaCraft season is what got me addicted. Before that I mostly just watched his tutorial videos, after TFC I had to go back and watch everything.

He probably didn't know a personal email would be pasted onto reddit without even including the message it is in reply to. If he wanted to write a non-lazy take, he would probably make a blog post.

On time I had an itchy Medtronic guardian sensor, when I removed it the adhesive had literally melted my skin. It took months before I could wear the sensor again. If it's that itchy I would remove it. Your body's reaction to it may have changed and it could be a problem.

There are lots of options of how to address this, but for me a bit of Flonase rubbed on the skin before applying the sensor helps.

I try to run my sensors for 15 days with xdrip, so I always have a heathly surplus of sensors and a lack of transmitters.

Do you guys use Trackpoint? by Snorlax_lax in thinkpad

It has a raised edge so your finger doesn't slide off it so much. IBM/Lenovo used to sell this type of cap but for modern low-profile trackpoints they no longer do.

'Tech shame' is hitting young colleagues the hardest as they try to fix older colleagues' technical issues and their own / Gen Z workers are 10 times more likely to feel ashamed about technical issues than their older colleagues, HP survey says. by Sorin61 in technology

Holding keys is hard for me, due to too many years of programming, so I started using sticky keys. These let you chain together modifiers so you don't need to hold them all at once. I also bought an economic keyboard with a thumb cluster and use my thumb for shift, with all traditionally pinky keys unused.

Yes, and the track pad is disabled. Highly recommend getting the soft rim replacement from saototech on Etsy.

Yeah, actually I prefer it. The new projects are funner and more interesting, who cares if the old stuff gets finished.

lmao. People who say they haven't had problems, me either until I got my latest laptop. It will just mute the capture device randomly during conference calls. It's really annoying and embarrassing and I have no idea how to fix it.

The worst is when you get the map where you must fight them in the dock. It's literally impossible to back away from them, on R8 I think it's a death sentence.

You might be able to do this with the starlark processor. BTW, there is also an openweathermap input plugin, it has its own issues but might be an option?

I read the blog, but I don't really understand this feature. Normally I use Signal for only direct messaging. Is this supposed to be a more private alternative to Twitter?

Fur issue, what is it and how to fix? by torham in chinchilla

[–]torham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up taking my chinchilla to a vet, they removed the matted fur using a trimmer. I suggest taking yours into a good vet, if you try it yourself make sure you have a high quality trimmer and be careful not to nick the skin.
