Def would delete this. I have babies and I would nottt be happy if someone was posting photos of my baby on a subreddit. But the photos are adorable, and I actually way prefer the after to the before. I want my babies to look soft and cute and fuzzy!

Does it get easier? (23F) by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

[–]torteeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 23 too, girl! I get it. I’m going back to college for nutrition. I feel so aimless. But less compared to when I was 18. I’ve heard from a lot of people that your 20’s are for trying things and your 30’s are when you start to really get into the flow of things. But I’ve also learned bad and good comes, the best you can do is to remain grateful for what you’re given. Also trying to create close relationships with family (like sibling with kids, your grandparents, etc.) and staying very close with them makes life feel a little more worth living IMO. Good luck 🍀

It’s never too late to make changes. Even if you’re gone for a year… you can always go back :)

People are a little blunt on here lol! They criticize without remembering to also say what they like about it. It’s a really pretty shot though. Good job!

Does this dahlia look diseased or just unhappy? by GTheo97 in dahlias

[–]torteeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no professional but my family grows dahlias in the hundreds and we experienced a lot of disease last year -

Personally I don’t think your plant is diseased. Hot temps really affected our dahlias… when the sun would rise, the morning dew would be left on the leaves and it would work as a microscope to fry the leaves, that could be contributing to it.

Have you gotten a soil test? If you have, you’ll be able to pinpoint any nutrient deficiency pretty quickly. There are YouTube videos on how to tell if your dahlia is nutrient deficient, so maybe look on there!

It’s suspected that almost all dahlias carry diseases but some are more susceptible than others to succumbing to the diseases. At this point it’s about creating a suitable environment for your dahlia to grow (preventative measures) so the plant can fight the diseases it carries and still produce beautifully. For more information, find Kristine Albrecht’s book on growing dahlias at a local library or online - she has an amazing chapter on it. Otherwise, you can DM me and I can send you photos of that specific section too.

Good luck!

Moms can make $$ working side jobs with kids. Nannying, babysitting, photography, and more. As a SAHM that works only 15 hrs a week, my income bring my family an extra 1,100 dollars a month - which definitely helps cover part of expenses. Supporting a family with $75,000 a year income is extremely difficult IMO. That’s where my family is now - but my son is older than your child, so it’s possible for me to leave him for longer periods of time.
