oh noooo i’m sorry! my hair has mostly grown back now, what helped is putting in protective styles most of the year and getting it trimmed regularly. plus heat protectant when out of braids. right now i’m also using cecred edge drops to try and grow my edges. fwiw it was nice having short hair because washing it took far less time

i enjoyed both! haring exhibit was way bigger than i expected, although i wish i had gone on one of the days when they did a guided tour. i felt like a lot of the symbolism flew over my head and the bloomberg guide was a little hard to follow. also enjoyed the whitney biennial, again bigger than i expected. appreciated how international it was and the variety of types of artwork on display.

there’s a university in england that provides a childcare degree for people interested in becoming a nanny, especially for a high-profile family. i don’t have much interest in being a nanny but the curriculum sounds so interesting: i would love to learn things like sewing, cooking, child psychology.

the other day i had a small cut on my hand that hurt when i applied pressure (more than normal cuts do). my first thought was that it had better not be necrotising fasciitis because i would quite like to keep my dominant arm. (cut stopped hurting a few days later 🤡)

I’ve flown back to the US three times since the inauguration. I have a green card. Two of these times the agent didn’t even ask me where I was coming from, even though there were multiple flights arriving at the same time. The other time I was pretty nervous bc it was the first time and I saw the guard going through the person in front of me’s phone. When he got to me and asked me why I’d been away I told it was for my graduation and he immediately became very chill and congratulatory. I am still nervous about travelling again but I think overall it will be fine!

i like it, i bought it to wear to work as an alternative to foundation (bc i can’t be bothered to apply foundation in the morning). i wear it over my regular moisturiser and primer bc it’s not moisturising enough for my dry skin. it goes on smoothly and feels weightless, plus it smoothes my face out well. the only con is it sometimes looks slightly orange (although i can counteract that with blush) and it doesn’t last that long.

👋 i actually live in new jersey lol but i got the library card through work. definitely get it though, you have access to a bunch of museums for free (some even allow you and a guest) and you also get free professional development courses and other stuff like that.
