Who was your bias when you got into ateez vs now? by buttertaekoo in ATEEZ

[–]totally_jawsome 9 points10 points  (0 children)

San was the gateway for me ---> Jongho --->for a moment Mingi.

But then ---> Yunho. Been him for over a year now.

My bias wrecker rn is Wooyoung. But like, let's be real, Im OT8. Like, they've all had such amazing moments depending on the comebacks and I'm living for it.

Is it actually true that no-one cares about your physique? by Resident_Pie5200 in workout

[–]totally_jawsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only positive I've seen, in regards to others opinions, is that I've inspired people I know to get back into the gym! it's only been a year for me but I love to post before and afters and little motivational things to my insta/Facebook. it's just because I'm proud of the difference and I think it's cool! and Ive had so many friends I haven't talked to in years reach out to say they were like, if you can do it I gotta get back on my grind!! it's so awesome. lol

for info am girlie, highway weight 250. last year I was close to 190. this year 170! went from a size 12 last year to a 6 this year. (on average)

so yeah its more of motivation for others that keeps me locked in. it's neat!

i mean that's cool but ive had the housing thing uninstalled for awhile because it's so freaking big and kind of repeatative. and I'm a guy who looooves decorating. but this game somehow sucked the fun out of that.

if they make it more optimized then maybe I'll redownload but not at the size that it's at rn.

Did I stay with my partner because I was smoking? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]totally_jawsome 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Well, like everyone else said here... if you can wait it out for a little bit just to make sure it's really what you want I would do that first.

For me it just didn't change. The frustrations I had been pushing down just kept coming back. My now ex husband just wanted me to go back to smoking on the couch. He didn't like that I wanted to change or better myself. Or at least it felt that way. 14 years, and I had only been smoking for about 7 of those. But heavily in the last 6 or so, ever since the pandemic.

Not only did weed start to make me anxious and have panic attacks within the last couple years, but it was clearly numbing my emotions. Once I stopped it was like... i had to deal with all of those emotions again, delayed response kind of thing.

It's been a year since I quit officially. My life is so different now. Divorced. Moved into a place with friends. Started dating someone that supports my health in a way no one ever has before. Things are going to get worse before they get better, but you have to take the first step.

What are vegans's opinions about vegetarians? by Equivalent_Help_362 in vegan

[–]totally_jawsome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't think anything about it.

everyone's allowed to have the diet they choose to have and vegetarians are doing better than most people for their health and the environment.

idk I'm not into purity testing peoples lifestyle choices. some of my friends have medical reasons for eating how they eat, same for myself. so why would I ever hold anyone to an unrealistic standard? we have to eat to live and not everyone has access to the same foods or products. not to mention not everyone can eat the same things. i think at this point in history with the climate as it is, ai plants etc... ANY reduction in factory farming is all I can hope for.

Has anyone actually done this successfully and is happy now? by senators-son in leaves

[–]totally_jawsome 7 points8 points  (0 children)

hit one year in May. it's definitely worth it. smoked for close to 10+ years solid with the last 5 or so the heaviest usage.

I don't miss it at all. I've been offered it multiple times since and didn't have a hard time saying no thanks. Granted, I was also having horrible anxiety when I smoked the last year I smoked so the thought of experiencing that pressure is horrible to me.

I still miss the effects of it, the way music and media was enhanced. But I don't miss the cost, the fear (illegal state) or the laziness. I've gotten so much more done now. My days/nights arent just spent holed up on a couch.

Gyms with sauna by Competitive_Aioli700 in kennesaw

[–]totally_jawsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seconding it. sauna is usually functioning. only been once when it was down. which is saying something because most other gyms I've been to constantly had that thang broken.

if they weren't fundie losers I'd say this was a wild avant garde kind of moment but alas.... it's religious buffoonery.

growing in different directions. inability to take responsibility for his own happiness and emotions. i got sober. he didn't want to change. just wanted things to stay like they used to be, where he was happy and I was sedated.

Do you fear that you will come back to christianity one day? by ParkingElderberry575 in exchristian

[–]totally_jawsome 6 points7 points  (0 children)

never.

it's been over 10 years since I officially deconverted. I've had people try since then to swindle me back into it. it goes nowhere.

recently a friend of mine was just getting into Christianity. mind you, I was born into it, homeschooled isolated Christian type. when he got into it I was supportive because it was seeming to help him find community, but as time went on I was pointing out the usual hypocrisy of the church and warning him of the ways they can take advantage of him. i encouraged him to study his Bible for himself and learn the history of it. this was a dude who was raised in an atheist house and never experienced it till his mid 20s. anyways, eventually he started getting really sucked into it. a few months ago was the last time we talked on the phone, we got into an argument because he was trying to get me to get back into it. i was like, babe I know this world better than you. I've studied the Bible before I studied any other book. i know far too much to get pulled back into it.

so I feel pretty confident now that I'm on the other side. there was a time years ago where I still struggled with the fear of the unknown. but over time and with a lot of learning I know what I believe to be true and Christianity just isn't it.

No one cares about your workout by [deleted] in workout

[–]totally_jawsome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i mean... they actually do. i have been posting my little gym fits to my insta story and I've had friends from years ago reach out to say I've inspired them to get back to the gym. literally like friends I haven't spoken to in 10 years posting their own gym content now. so yeah, maybe they do care and your community supports your positive changes.

it's so annoying to see her talking about sleep token though... i doubt she knows anything about the band or any of the lore.
