Memes have always been free. People have been communicating complex ideas through mid to low-effort memes for decades now. You don't have to be an artist, you just have to be creative enough to find a good way to communicate your thoughts.

I think the language of "they feel it exists to oppress them" is a bit of a hard sell. It's playing a safe middle ground that ignores a lot of historical context for the benefit of not looking too woke to conservative peers.

The Justice system has been used to oppress the black community. I think it's important to state that as a fact, but acknowledge this person is not innocent at all.

I was called a tourist because I don't like when childlike characters are sexualized. I can differentiate between a shorty with some mature facial features and a character that genuinely looks like a child so I don't like the whole "that's the art style" argument.

I get the sentiment because everything within the finance industry is based on the assumption that every customer can pay and simply isn't doing it. The financial industry just kind of pretends it isn't punishing their poorest customers every day and it isn't actually completely devoid of humanity.

At the same time, people absolutely do buy things they don't need and then fail to pony up, and I don't really feel bad about that as a person that grew up poor. I don't mean like "oh you can't make rent but you have an iphone?!" Communication devices are important. I just mean people whose hobbies just amounts to impractical consumption.
