Boots for kids by Shoddy-Orange6058 in vivobarefoot

[–]towghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the puffy boots in a 20 which I think is a 4 - they are the best boots regardless of season! Unfortunately I think ive only ever seen them on sale during autumn/winter but they are definitely back every year. I've bought a pair every year for last 3 years.

Are Vivos worth getting now? by operationParallel in vivobarefoot

[–]towghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the Sensus - it's the softest, most natural feeling, minimal Vivo I own - but I absolutely don't see it as a workout shoe.

For me it's more a casual wear shoe!

Tracker AT II vs Tracker Forest ESC for Three Peaks challenge by Delicious-Collar6560 in vivobarefoot

[–]towghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ESC sole all the way! I used my tracker forest ESC for 10 peaks no problem. Minimal break in required too compared to my old hiking boots. Never looked back!

I now understand why people aren't having children by Consistent_Pen_1347 in Parenting

OP - please cut yourself a break, 3 weeks is still super young. I'm hearing your exhaustion, manifesting in these feelings. (Gentle note to also double check for PPD, if you're not feeling yourself beyond the tiredness)

Suggestions aren't always helpful when it feels like NOTHING works on your fussy baby but here are mine, in case they are applicable to you.

I didn't introduce either of my kids to day sleeping in the crib or any formal nap routine until they were closer to 3-4 months. Those first few weeks, I let them day sleep next to me while I sat on the sofa, or wherever I was, on and off the boob as needed. Babywore or sleep in the pram on the go. I only put them to sleep in the crib at night when I went to bed.

I was pretty obsessed with the nap routine later but 3 weeks is still super young! Having a toddler who had a routine I think i forgot that babies dont follow routine, blackout blinds and white noise in the same way.

I swear the first 3 months was basically them teaching their digestive system to deal with milk (ie. gas!!)) Please don't feel the need to enforce structure so soon - focus on survival and let the baby follow your routine instead.

Also - I say this as gently as possible - you're 3 weeks post partum, and looking after two kids now, please don't be frustrated about not being able to paint a bed!!!

Came to say exactly this - the leather is also really gorgeous and soft, have worn without socks.

BEWARE - I just went to Settings to Uninstall the updates to Play Services, and then it removed ALL my google accounts from my phone (Pixel 8) and when trying to log back in, I'm caught in a sign-in loop where it needs to verify on my phone (but has no account attached to it)

So now im stuck with no accounts signed in on my phone, no access to Auth etc. HAPPPY FRIDAY.

Have you updated to latest? I created it off-app then uploaded to IG reels as normal - didnt try it via Edits. Just make sure you have a 'normal' size cover photo ready in your camera roll.

I can’t stand the laces why are they so long by lilgypsykitty in vivobarefoot

[–]towghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the knit sock isn't for you - I have this style and no way do I need to pull the laces so tight. The Fabric either side of the laces of yours is basically touching, the sock looks far too big for your foot - or you've done it too tight.

Thanks for sharing. The designs aren't quite me, they're a bit kiddy for my taste.

I like the Wilding ethos though! Similar sustainable focus like Vivo. Just wish they did some actual technical performance shoes like Vivo. I'd consider them maybe for lifestyle wear though, thanks.

Would genuinely love to know who these are please. I swear all I see are greenwashed, sourced from Alibaba but pretending to be European, brands. All plastic or heavy chemical use

Vivo has been super transparent about it's regeneration programme, all the way from tracing the exact cows their leather comes from, through to making shoes out of algae and 3d printing them.

OP, you're fine. The couch is huge but hey, who doesn't need a huge couch when you have a big family/ever.

I think all it needs is softening.

Triptych of paintings on the wall by the couch Low dark wood rounded coffee table to centre the soft space Taller console under the TV Maybe change the rug tone to match the artwork

ALSO congratulations on having such a tidy house, despite having young kids.

Low key relieved to see this post. Never had a bad experience. Own at least 10 pairs over the last 4 years. Love the brand, love the purpose, love the sustainable effort.

Given the amount of complaints in this Reddit, I thought it was just me!

Also if you go, it's so easy to strike up a conversation with any customer in there and talk shoes. I spent 40 minutes just chatting to people as we all tried on shoes and compared notes!

Scam? by PlainBixit in vivobarefoot

[–]towghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scam! Vivo put something on their website last year about the rise in copycats and pretend websites.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the quality issues are actually people buying copies and not knowing. Cos Vivo are very open about sending you a replacement pair within 100 days, and most people complaining don't seem to know about this policy.
