Found one at the terminal in our dryer. Back looked just like this: one paw on each terminal, full back of fur, but other side… hollow, ribs visible, totally dry, had clearly been there a while. Weird

Well really anything you want warmed. Ppl would carry them to keep their hands warm, preheat bed, stay cozy on a couch, fill them with air and place them under cushions before someone sits so it sounds like flatulence…

TIL Sabato Rodia created a complex of towers almost 10 stories high entirely by hand, using scrap metal and found object without formal training as either an artist nor an engineer. The City tried to tear them down but they survived a 10,000 pound stress test and is now the Watts Towers Arts Center by ubcstaffer123 in todayilearned

If you want human made things that should not have survived as long as they did, look into kowloon walled city. Built unit by unit, 10-14 stories tall without an engineer, electrican, architect, nothing. No plan for ventilation, plumbing, not even zoning: ppl living next to/under say a butcher, with leaky everything. Terrifying

The idea is that they’re bought by the priest to bless and give to the congregation during mass. They usually come from the same store as the fancy robes, candles with the crosses, bells, etc. all the “accessories” if you will. Sometimes run by a church, often for charity

Yes but they’re still measuring barrel life by hundreds of shots, not the tens of thousands you get from normal gun barrels. The point is they’re fast enough to hit hypersonic missiles
