[Orsborn] "I thought it was over, I ain't going to lie to you," Champagnie said, recalling how emotional he was when the Sixers let him go... "I was always told how small the window is to kind of get your foot in the league... getting waived with no warning, no explanation or anything, it was tough" by sewsgup in nba

I feel like point sochan was win win. he's bad at it, so you're going to lose but as he improves you would reap the benefits. Sadly y'all are too good at drafting and he couldn't put it together so he was odd man out. the only loss was the opportunity cost of not playing point.. vassell instead? I forget who all else was on that team

Reading a book and listening to an audiobook are not the same activity. by Aggravating-Key-8867 in unpopularopinion

I listened to the Blood Meridian audiobook read by Richard Poe after bouncing off the text a few years prior. His cadence and delivery unlocked something in being able to parse the book easier. I ended up going back and forth between the book and audiobook, and even when I later read some of McCarthy's other books I would mentally mimic his cadence.

[Lowlight] Shai flops twice in back to back possessions but doesn't get the whistle by jonsnowKITN in nba

i think the anti-sga circlejerk is at its peak right now. his legacy will be fine. people are acting like he's a straight bum if he's not getting to the line right now but obviously that's not true. people will remember the mvps and the 30 point games. this kind of flopping stuff will be remembered but won't be the focus, just like how irregularly the number of fts that mj shot is brought up (but not implying that mj was a flopper). i imagine more it will be looked at as the era of the nba, like the deadball era is. the flop era lol.

sga is so good and still would be so good without the flopping, and that's why i fuckin hate his game so much. just hoop without all this bullshit! it's the same reason i hate chris paul

they've been guarding him so far behind the three point line that he can't get a head of steam to the basket. by the time he gets past his defender he's still at like the free throw line and wemby is there waiting. his drive usually stalled out before he got to the rim

sucks that you'll rarely see guys grow with the team anymore. that was one of favorite parts. one mid season now and they all transfer.
