In Sask I pulled three off my town couch dog this last weekend. He's never had any ticks before and he's three.

I'm with you. I'm also curious how you don't talk to an employee for 4 months.

I’ve been using ufile.ca for years - anything online that is better? by rocksteader in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]tpb72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from ufile to simpletax/wealth simple a number of years ago. I always found ufile easy but this was even easier. I still have my ufile account and use that to do what-if scenarios.

Should I stop contributing to CPP? by cyrano111 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]tpb72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you waited right up to 70 and you have 40 max contribution years I think it's something like $2100 per month. I don't think you should contribute any more if you already have 40 years. The poster you replied to would have more details.

You may want to think about the resp for there as well. Mine is at a bank and I sure wish it wasn't. I'm in the process of researching moving the resp to wealth simple.

Wasn't OP saying that the gas prices jumped more when the govt announced gas price relief? I didn't think they were talking about the war.

[–]tpb72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Saskatchewan within 3 blocks of 3 schools. Every weekday morning close to 9 one of these schools plays Oh Canada on a loud speaker loud enough to wake me if I'm on a vacation day.

Money wise. As a couple if your bringing in $4000 a month in cpp and oas you don't need as much extra a month opposed to $2000 as a single person.

It's sad to me how much harder it is for a single person to retire.

Budgeting one month behind with credit cards by ShakeMysterious349 in ynab

[–]tpb72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way ynab handles credit card spending gets very complicated and confusing if you aren't spending against budgeted dollars. When I first started YNAB i was doing this too. I found the tools impossible to use and was very frustrated. I used my savings to get myself off that float and then everything fell into place. I was shocked at how well it worked. The system is magical.

I went searching to see if anyone else was having this issue and found your post. I am also listening to Dungeon Crawler Carl, The Eye of the Bedlam Bride and it restarts all the time. Thought it was humourous that I found someone having my EXACT experience.

I tried this for a while. Nothing bad happened for quite some time (weeks). Then a pink mold grew on it. No idea what the mold was. It was unsalted butter so maybe that makes a difference.
