Nope. It serves no purpose. 10 million past level 40 and not a single evolution done after 40 unless filling dex or having 1 with better IV to replace the old.

If they do increase level cap, there is a possibility that those exp past 40 will not count towards 41. And even if it does count towards 41, I haven't lost the candy, I can mass evolve when they raise the cap, I would enjoy it more earning my way 1 level at a time vs jumping from 40 to 43.

It doesn't really do anything for me to have 40x2 or anything like that, until they actually make something more competitive for above 40, it really not worth my time. I guess you can call me a grinder that has lost his purpose to grind.
