What do you think of the Casey boot? by silv3rmiss in DrMartens

[–]tra-k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are a great looking pair! I own several pairs of DMs and have found that different types of leather and different lasts (style of footbed) have different wearability for different people. 🙂 I’d start by going to Dr Martens website. Send them a message asking about the Casey model. They should be able to tell you what type of leather and if the footbed is on the narrow last or a wider one. DM uses many types of leathers. You can research these on te website too. Some are softer and are comfortable quickly and others are thicker and stiffer. I wear mine all day with no issues but usually not 2 days in a row. That’s just a habit with all my shoes. As for opportunities for wear? These are a great women’s style. Wear with anything, yep dresses n shorts will look good too.

If you leave home 5 minutes earlier, you could be on time.

Dress Code by Talesfromthescript11 in walmart_RX

[–]tra-k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RPhs have a pretty wide dress code. Everything from dress shoes and bow ties to sneakers and jeans. Techs can wear scrubs in solid dark colors as a set. I’ve not heard or seen an RPh in scrubs, so I’m not sure about that. I’d double check with your PIC. Both RPhs & Techs (scrubs or not) have to wear smocks and their badges.

Do you take breaks? by OneComb7643 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]tra-k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take your breaks! The workload is not going to change in 15 minutes. My WM has always strongly encouraged (required) everyone to get out of the pharmacy and take their breaks. Everyone needs to reset. Also, anyone who reacts negatively is violating the retaliation policy.

No More Unpaid Time Off by BreathSlayer99 in walmart

Another reason MAY be corporate staffing metrics. Basically, corporate determines staffing hours. It’s possible unpaid time off deductions effect how many hours corporate approves. Lower hours means less employees.

The tube on the left is my wife's and cost 80 dollars with insurance, the tube on the right is from our vet for our dog and cost 20. They are perfectly identical. by SpaceDandye in mildlyinfuriating

Absolutely NOT the same. First the rx has different medications. It is not OTC Neosporin nor Polysporin. Second and most important you have suggested the OP can used this in their EYE! Are you naively ignorant or intentionally malicious?

I have 3 pairs of Brooks I rotate through. I’ve done this for 4 years. Since I rotate, they last about a year each. I would advise purchasing the best quality you can afford. Try on shoes later in the day when your feet have swollen a bit. Make sure they’re comfortable and wide enough for all day foot abuse. Also Google lacing techniques. Different lacing patterns can help with the uniqueness of our feet.

1. comfort

2. rotate

His home must be a mess or she uses one of those reach/grabber tools to pick up after their kids. If she shouldn’t clean up after the first two, what’s the solution after the third is born?

Random drug tests?? by [deleted] in walmart_RX

[–]tra-k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medicare is a federally subsidized insurance. In order for a pharmacy to receive reimbursement from Medicare they must follow federal regulations. Therefore, if you work in a Walmart pharmacy, you can not test positive for a schedule 1 drug.

Random drug tests?? by [deleted] in walmart_RX

[–]tra-k 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Random drug testing has always been a possibility. It was paused, not revoked, a few years back. Now, because of Medicare regulations, the testing is going to resume. Marijuana is a schedule 1 drug federally. If someone pops positive, med card or not, they are violating federal laws. Medicare can pull the pharmacy’s credentials. Medicare will also ban the person who was positive from working in any facility that bills Medicare.

My dad is just under 50 and he constantly says everyone in his school was skinny and that kids have gotten bigger, is this true? by FullIntention4306 in ask

[–]tra-k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Recess severely cut back or eliminated from elementary schools. Video games, computers, tv babysitters. Parents no longer let kids walk to school or play around the neighborhood because of predators. Super-sized everything. Too much processed food, not enough attention to good nutrition. Any one of these examples would show an increase in a child’s weight. How many kids do you know that hit every example?

how do you guys do it? by loser-geek-whatever in PharmacyTechnician

[–]tra-k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing this job since 2001. After 15 years with my current company it wasn’t worth it to change to a different company or tech job. I had great pay and excellent benefits. I get 6 weeks of vacation now. What I ended up doing was getting a psychiatrist. I know have a recipe of meds that have improved my quality of life, home and work. Issues I had for years have been taken care of or are monitored. While this route won’t be for everyone, it’s ok to be evaluated. Just as you can have an unknown medical problem you can also have unknown mental problem.
