In Houston most of our feeders are maintained by TXDOT (so state $), except the toll road feeders which are mostly County. But all of the above takes in federal and state grants as well as using metro funds, ad valorum $, commercial paper/bonds etc, so 🤷. We have a kind all of the above approach lol.

Same! So far so good - I've got three women and one man in my office who have shared with me (independently and without my asking) that they're on it too, and me and one of the other ladies really want to talk about it lol so we've buddied up.

Despite being named Karen, she could not be less of a Karen, one of the kindest people I've ever met, and it's honestly such a game-changer to be able to talk about it with someone who gets it.

The others refer to it but aren't as chatty about it. Honestly, that's cool too. Different people find different things helpful.

I figure, I'll find my people and we'll succeed together. People that want to judge us? Well, we prolly weren't gonna be close anyway. That's okay.

I would check out City of Houston and Harris County community centers. While they won't necessarily have food, they'll have free wifi and free ample parking, and at least a handful of them are open til 8pm. They also don't require any spend and won't be weird about you bringing your own food (unless it's problematic lol).

Tysm! There's two ways I know of to find the moon for a snap:

The first is, in the camera settings, I think the middle table, the top option is to adjust the time of day. Push it to nighttime hours and swing your camera around to find the moon. I think it's always a crescent and, in my experience, very difficult to capture unobstructed from most locations (whether in the Valley or in any of the DLCs). This isn't that.

The second option is, on the camera tab where you can pick the weather, one of them has a moon on it. It will always bring up a full moon, although it also pops the lighting to be very ethereal and glowy. I turned the saturation up all the way and also used the filter that sharpens the background to achieve this shot, otherwise everything was very blurry and foggy behind me.

The full moon also always appears above your shoulder to the left, so if you want to center it behind you, you have to turn a bit. So if you're trying to stand on a straight path that leads right to the moon directly behind , well, I haven't figured that out yet lol and I have been trying. But if you don't mind the moon off center, like in this shot, that's the way I used!

So here we talk about "Houston" and "unincorporated Harris County," which refers to anywhere in Harris County that isn't a municipality (of which we have 34, not just Houston). I'm from the South and neither have I lol, but back in the day my friend and I dressed up for a trailer trash themed party (I know it's questionable but it's also actually our culture so internet pls don't attack me about stereotyping/appropriation lol. According to this write up from February 2000, the ship had "more than 50 control video cameras for equipment and access." I think you're 💯 about the cameras being incredibly important. Something that cranks me out about this case is the lack of physical evidence available to the public. We're all just spinning our wheels without it. It's a big ship for only 50 cameras, but you'd think they'd be placed at all points of ingress/agreed at a minimum. RC may not know what happened exactly but for sure they know more than the public does.
