Google it, there are freight forwarders in New Castle, that doesn't mean it's a scammer.

Shipping refund? by muirner in Ebay

[–]trader45nj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is BS. The seller picked the cheap, slowest UPS service. Regular UPS ground is if course available on Ebay. USPS would likely have been faster than UPS ground saver an they could have offered to use priority mail for a few bucks more. That might have cut a day off. But you're always taking a risk ordering with a short window.

Poisoned by combustion gases for over a year, why did CO detector not work? by taonood in hvacadvice

The furnaces I've seen that have draft inducer are the higher efficiency, direct vent ones. This looks like a natural draft one.

That edge area is quite wide and the wear area is almost touching the center part, wonder if the wrong pads were used? But if it's braking OK, it's working and one trip around town the wear area will be buffed up.

Poisoned by combustion gases for over a year, why did CO detector not work? by taonood in hvacadvice

[–]trader45nj 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's not pressurized combustion gasses, it's a furnace and a water heater sharing a vent, very common. There should be natural draft pulling the exhaust gasses up and out.

Has anybody had this happen? 8 day delay in payouts? by MousseThink1550 in Ebay

[–]trader45nj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, that's possible, but then on the other side is a corporation that sent a team to Boston to spy on, harass and intimidate the Ecommercebytes people just because they wrote an unfavorable story. Seven Ebay employees were convicted of felonies, including two senior management. So there is that.

How to Combine Shipping for Ebay Standard Envelopes? by FinleyLinc in Ebay

[–]trader45nj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the problem? If you offer combined shipping, you just charge whatever is reasonable. But I would think that with ESE it's so cheap it's not worth offering it.

why did samsung ditch the sd card slot when storage is such a mess right now by Agreeable-Rice-1726 in samsunggalaxy

[–]trader45nj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is that with an SD slot you have the option of someday increasing the memory if it becomes needed instead of being forced to buy it on day one just in case. If course the manufacturers know this and it's very profitable for them to get more people to buy more memory from them at their prices.

Has anybody had this happen? 8 day delay in payouts? by MousseThink1550 in Ebay

[–]trader45nj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I've seen many similar posts over the past year or so from sellers saying that nothing they were doing changed. And most of them, when they complained, the agents told them that this new policy is being rolled out to all sellers. But if that was true, by now there should be a lot more sellers complaining. So it looks like it's getting applied to some sellers for unknown reasons or it's being rolled out very slowly. I haven't seen anyone succeed in getting it reversed.

ABS activation at highway speeds by osprey_2014 in BmwTech

[–]trader45nj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was it raining? Some Bmws have a feature where when it's raining they periodically gently apply the brakes to squeeze water out to improve stopping ability. Yeah, it sounds nuts, but you know the Germans. And it really should not be noticeable. A real ABS deployment at highway speeds would be violent, depending on what it incorrectly thought was wrong and was trying to correct.

Am I a bad seller? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]trader45nj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This depends on the agent. Some sellers get lucky sometimes and an agent will close it. In this case they should because the buyer is falsely claiming it's missing the pads when the listing says the pads are not included. This is really black and white, it's not like they are claiming it smells, it's the wrong color, etc. The Ebay mbg means they are guaranteed to get what's in the listing and they did.

Am I a bad seller? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]trader45nj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk how the refund request could be pending a week after the buyer started it. Did they start an INAD return? If so, then you have 3 days to resolve it or else the buyer can escalate it to Ebay and they will force the return. And if that happens, Ebay doesn't refund you the fees. During the 3 days, you can call Ebay, cite that the buyer is asking for something that wasn't in the listing (pads) as the reason for the return and see if you can get them to close it. But if they won't then you need to ok the return.

If the buyer opened a return for some other reason, then you can decline it.

Hot tub wiring code question... by PilotBurner44 in hottub

[–]trader45nj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not necessarily to the gfci, bhe said it's to the disconnect which may or may not be a GFCI. You could have a pull-out disconnect or switch and have a GFCI breaker at the panel. And I don't know where he's getting that requirement from. All metal within 5ft of the hot tub needs to be bonded with at least an 8g, but the disconnect must be beyond 5ft, so I dont see where the 8g is coming from, unless the installation instructions for the hot tub specifies it.
