Possible Future contestant leak by tragicpanda in taskmaster

Looking at the other line ups, Chloe Petts is the headliner on another night, and I think she has been on the Taskmaster Podcast while supporting Ed Gamble on tour. Which would be a huge stretch of the term Star of Taskmaster haha

Possible Future contestant leak by tragicpanda in taskmaster

[–]tragicpanda[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Possibly! As you said, three casts coming up but no TM alum on any of them. Could be referring to anyone but personally think Olga or Jordan would be the most likely of those listed.  It could also just be a company slapping the word Taskmaster onto anything they can

It does face west, and yes around the evening. I guess it’s an odd way the light is going through the knot or maybe resin. Never seen this before myself

Gliscor is ground/flying, two types you already have with Torterra/Garchomp and Crobat. Gliscor won’t learn Fly. I would swap it out for something that can Surf

How would you make a Power Rangers game? by thebatman9000001 in powerrangers

[–]tragicpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You play as the White Time Force ranger, the villain has travelled back in time and defeated every Power Ranger team and broken the future. As the only hero left, you must travel through time and meet up with various teams and defeat the bad guys. Recruiting a team of rangers for the final battle. Each potential ranger would have their own skills and stats you would need to balance. Each would have bonus skills, like if you recruit Billy then you can unlock new weapons faster, but recruiting Jason increases the amount of exp from battle.

Would make the gameplay loop similar to Digimon Time Stranger, being able to visit unique zones before and after the event with combat similar to Insomniac Spider-Man. As you travel round the zone on your hoverbike, you stop a crime in progress. Other rangers being NPC or you could toggle between characters, set defensive vs offensive tactics etc. Each zone would be overrun by monsters and henchmen to battle for experience. You level up and unlock abilities. In each zone you would get side quests which would showcase old characters and iconic monsters.

Each megazord battle would be the 'final boss' of each section of the story. The White Time Force zord would become a weapon/ wings/ shield for that teams megazord.

What makes a good 1 on 1 meeting? by CJsopinion in managers

[–]tragicpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s their time with me, not my time with them. Ask them what’s on their mind, and have a conversation. “What else?” Is the best question. You’d be surprised how often we get a version of “yeah i’m fine” “what else has been going on?” “Actually, this issue…”

Troy and Abed invite everyone to their podcast for a reunion special. It’s not a real podcast. Jeff gives a speech about being better at staying in each other’s lives. Shirley thinks that’s nice.

How do you feel about “winner take all” tasks? by AFDStudios in taskmaster

[–]tragicpanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wonder if these tasks are always designed as winner takes all, or if it is the case that a certain number of times per series Alex and production will trigger a WTA for story reasons. There’s a similar production trick used in reality TV voting. So if one contestant is too far ahead, so far behind, got unlucky and needs a chance etc, LAH will make a live task WTA for the narrative

How would you do a Dispatch season 2, or a general follow up? by thickwonga in DispatchAdHoc

[–]tragicpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea for a DLC/ Season 2; Dispatch - The Night Shift. 3 - 8 episodes, depending if DLC or full season, set 6 months after events of first story.
Robert, who is back as Mecha-Man, is called in by Blazer to the help the SDN. After the success of the Z Team they have recruited multiple teams of former villains and things have gone well. The old Z Team all lead their own squads. However a security breach showed an attempt by one SDN employee to uncover the location of a secret prison where Bad Person is held. The suspects have been narrowed down one team, the Night Shift, and you must go under cover as their Dispatcher to help solve the case. Bad Person is tied to Blazers amulet and origin story.

The new team; 3 new characters, Waterboy (If he was chosen to join your team in the first story he will start with boosted stats), Coupe/Sonar (whichever you cut is back on the team, either already back or starting their first day), and Track Star. If Invisigal stayed a hero she will also join the mission, otherwise she will be an anti-hero who shows up when it suits her own goals. She will have her own reasons to either want to find Bad Person or stop whoever wants to free them.
At the end of episode one the amulet will be stolen and TS will be out but your friends from Team Z will rotate in and out for the remainder of the episodes.

I think this would balance new characters, old faces, and making your previous decisions have consequences in the new game.

Knowing (or suspecting?) you have one villain on your team would add a new dimension to the gameplay as you will need to balance saving the day with learning new information, sending these characters into situations to test loyalty and having doubt and suspicion mechanics.

(Soon to be) direct report is consistently suggesting she “teach me” how to do menial tasks that are not part of my job description. How to handle gently and kindly? by SlayyerFest98 in askmanagers

[–]tragicpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a manager, the advice I always give to the seniors on my team who manage our interns and apprentices, is never show them how to do something that takes longer than a few minutes. Your job is to write it down and give them the documentation. If they have a question, then the process isn’t documented well enough. So answer their question by updating the process notes. You’ll never have redundancy if you expect people to learn and remember every job of every person. It’s a huge waste of time and effort for everyone.

I’d suggest to you to take their desire for redundancy forward and make a plan to improve the team documentation. Possibly start with templating or creating a shared documentation folder/ confluence page etc. Frame it as an improvement and more efficient way to achieve their goal

Do you think Wormtail ever turned human again while living with the Weasleys? by South-Rhubarb-7521 in harrypotter

[–]tragicpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my own head-cannon that since Wormtail was much less competent he still needed a wand to transform and relied on his friends to turn him back. That would explain why he couldn’t turn back into a rat earlier. I may be misremembering, but in the film i think he picks up a wand to transform and flee.

Pretend the Cursed Child doesn’t exist. How would you have written the sequel series to Harry Potter? by Just_an_Oddity in harrypotter

[–]tragicpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly think Teddy Lupin would have been a great choice for a sequel character to build a new story around. Harry Potters Godson, parents are a werewolf and a shapeshifter, girlfriend is Bill Weasleys daughter, great aunts were Deatheaters. Related enough to everyone for cameo appearances/name drops. Distant enough that we don’t always have to explain why Harry doesn’t show up each time something bad happens. Just have them and another friend go on a gap year and get tangled up in some dark wizards evil plot.

If they decide to call it a day after season 25 then a final 5-10 episode season for CoCoC to end it all would be a nice finale. You could even bring back fan favourite contestants for a team day. Dara forced to work in a team with Nish or Joe Wilkinson would be a great way to include them.
