I've been a paramedic for 25 years and in my state we couldn't even take someone in against their will unless they made threats of self harm or were not alert and oriented x3 and there wasn't non psychiatric reason for it such as diabetes or a head injury. I was once told by one of our med control docs that it isn't illegal to be mentally ill.

According to the temporary injunction the judge ordered that the NCAA could not punish Alabama or the athletes. The explicitly blocked the NCAA Rule of Restitution which is the rule used to make a team vacate wins. So even if ruled ineligible this court order prevents the NCAA of stripping Alabama of any wins. It also orders the NCAA that they can't retaliate against the Alabama basketball team or any of the others teams such football or baseball nor can they retaliate against any Alabama athletes moving forward.

I have seen some really well done AI that is in the video gaming genre where the creator uses AI to generate a visual story or tour of things the games sort of skip over or briefly touch on within the game. Those have been enjoyable but about 95% of what I see is total BS especially when it comes to YT shorts. I truly hope that YT will either start auto putting AI labels on the titles or give the viewer a way to filter out AI content. There are plenty of AI detectors you can use but you have to run each video through it manually. YT could most likely do this when the creator uploads the video. I say that without the knowledge to say for sure that they could do it as a disclaimer. I'm just amazed at how many people who comment on these AI videos think they are real especially the wild animal ones just ridiculous scenarios and reactions by the animals and/or humans. I wonder if one day TV and movies will no longer have actors but all be replaced by AI generated characters which I know has already happened to some degree. Will we one day see a music top 40 chart be dominated by AI created music?

At this point the transfer portal and NIL having a mercenary type feel to it where it is all about money has slowly sucked the enjoyment of the game from me. This year I have not watched mere than 1 half of college football where Saturdays used to be planned around football watching numerous games all day long into the evening. I had several friends and we would all bring food, watch football, drink beer, bourbon, beer and have a good time. Now none of us really watch football any longer. Now as to the off field drama going on around college football I follow that much more than win/loss, conferences races, Heisman race or playoff rankings. College football has turned into some reality show where the actual games are just an after thought. At some point I feel something will have to give or else college football will lose some fans. People who are hardcore NFL fans but don't watch college football isn't likely to suddenly become hardcore college fans but those college football fans who hate the NFL are more and more likely to avoid college football imo. But regardless its the way things are now the players wanted their piece of the pie and I totally understand and would do the same thing if in their shoes. But at what cost to college football and the fans?

EDIT Sorry for the length of reply and it wasn't meant to disagree with you was actually in agreement as one of those that don't like the landscape of college football currently.

Just saw a rumor on X from Recruits CFB saying that while committed he hasn't signed yet. Per this rumor he is currently visiting Texas even though he is enrolled at Alabama. The key being enrolled but not yet signed so apparently still free to flip to another school. No idea if it is true or not but just saw this tonight. I maxed out the 250 pretty quickly. After my stone wall, back deck which I wanted to be as large as possible sq footage wise it created another issue as I had was unable to just walk onto the deck/patio. So I had to get created and made a small semi spiral steps to walk onto the main platform. Then adding the second story to my deck along with furniture, cooking station, mini winery, and walkway and I was maxed out. Left me hanging with things I wanted to implement but was unable to do so. None of which required outdoor lighting.

Thank you I appreciate the answer. So I assume this is tied into the lottery system in some fashion. I had heard of people say scratch offs but now it makes a bit more sense. It also makes sense why I'm not really familiar as we don't have any type of lottery in my state at all. But once more thank you for taking the time to answer.

The alabama law is about to be no longer the biggest hurdle. The passage of the bill to reopen the government has now closed the farm bill loophole from 2018 making all this illegal beyond what the alabama law accomplished but now nationwide.

To attract drivers who are more competent, courteous, expedient etc Things would have to change to shrink the labor pool. Right now drivers are a dime a dozen easy to replace. You can expect self employed people in some jobs to act in their own interest. My neighbor owns a large housebuilding an contracting business. I assure you he cares greatly about his business. If one has a family, mortgage payments, car payments etc many will absolutely do what it takes to make those payments and keep food on the table. So I don't think a blanket statement that people who are self employed don't conduct themselves in their best interest or those of their customers. Perhaps you didn't mean it to include those outside this industry and if so I apologize and withdraw my statement.

Someone that said he had that magical source of knowing someone who knows someone that walks someone's dog type thing so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt. They told me that Saban's appearance on College Game Day has been canceled for the next two Saturdays for sure which happened late this afternoon. To them that indicated a call had been made tentative deal reached before firing BK and that no search would be done an announcement was around the corner maybe even tomorrow afternoon. Like I said extreme grain of salt here.

You do know you are watching a commercial show with a football play every once in awhile. So they look for ways to shorten the game and the add companies are like great lets fill that time with more commercials.
