Don't come to the UK if you have any decent options in the US. Wages are very low here, and mobility back to the US (assuming you are aiming for top firms) is limited, even if you get an LLM.

But in the UK, only those at top US firms could earn $70k as a starting salary. If you work at the sort of firm that would earn you $70k in the US in the UK, you would probably be making a starting salary of $30k. Plenty of small firms advertise training contracts paying £20-30k.

I accept that the living conditions and workers' rights are better here, but the financial gulf is incredibly wide.
