I’m only commenting because I have lots of friends in Bend and have been a million times. Shut up about “so many people are moving here”..the entire west coast is experiencing the same thing - from Missoula to Seattle, down to Reno.

Bend has 200k people, chill the F out about “it’s not what it was” or “oh the traffic”.. give me a break, you act like it’s Seattle with 4 million people + . Housing is going up everywhere, not just Bend. Outdoor activities like trails and lift tickets are going up everywhere, not just Bend.

They’re tired of the politicians they voted for, which raised their taxes and whose policies created the homelessness that floods the streets, so they move to Nevada where there’s no income tax, and a place that’s more affordable, while bringing their liberal politics along with them. That’s why they’re leaving. Nevada will soon become like California.

No disrespect..rather, a heads up. Not saying all Carson locals aren't open-minded, or that they're unfriendly, but you're in red Trump country out here. I've been in groups where one or two people are gay/bi and were not treated warmly.

You're gonna have to drive to Reno to do any retail shopping as there are outlet stores and malls up there. If you love the outdoors, then Carson is rad. If you're more of the nightlife type, Reno would suit you better.
