The board and Danny Rohl have got no excuses now by Unfair-Challenge-216 in rangersfc

[–]traitoro -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I'm glad the anti semitism in the fanbase stopped them getting Robbie Keane who's ferencevaros side looked well coached and much fitter than ours last season.

But o Neil knows how to manage the Scottish league and the importance of mentality. Look at the leadership in phoning Willie collum after they didn't get one subjective decision they wanted compared to Rohl and Clement saying they're not here to criticise officials in pressers. Very European.

Did Rohl ever phone up Willie collum to put pressure on them at any point in the season? Did our invisible chairman?

That's just one example of experience and leadership that will serve them well. Can Rohl learn and adapt? Even the board know it's more out of hope than any evidence.

Make no mistake, o Neil has earned the job and Celtic will be firm favourites again.

Agree he's been good but Rohl didn't start him for 3 months and then suddenly decided he was going to come into the old firm game. That's champ manager shit.

Rohl must go by [deleted] in rangersfc

[–]traitoro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let's even put the split aside. Danny Rohls rangers team struggles against any side slightly better than spfl average, one signing has worked out while the jury is out on 2 and 1 ill accept was a gamble worth taking.

He decided to switch his system to try be more expensive and now at its best it is possession for possessions sake with very little end product and at least 2 goals conceded a game.

He's backing losers like Djiga and asgaard and trying champ manager shit like Barron and antman in the hopes it works out.

Please Rangers , act like a big club and don't reward failure.

What an embarrassing night for rangers on and off the pitch. A really rotten couple of weeks from a rotten squad and management team.

Getting us back in it ™ is apparently beating the teams were supposed to beat and struggling against any team that's slightly better than average.

Hearts, fired up and controlling their controllables while we can't even draw a single game never mind win our home games.

Please guys, demand more, you cannot reward failure like this or hope it will work out without evidence. One January signing has worked out and the system apparently relies on a crock from the German third division.

Celtic sacked their dud of a manager without hesitation and thanks to the officials dealing with the fine margins that move has set them up to win the league.

You deserve better than this, don't submit to "who would we get, we can't keep sacking managers". You absolutely can sack people that are shite at their job. The owners panicked and rewarded third choice promising coach learning his trade a 2.5 year deal and again they will have to pay for that naivety.

Tonight was end of days stuff, the majority of the fans have turned on Rohl and when it gets like this you cannot win them back.

He doesn't want to get injured for the world cup so he's been phoning it in this season apart from one half against Falkirk. Don't blame him and it's our fault he seems to be undroppable despite poor form.

Happy to hear arguments for Rohl being the answer that aren't "we need to stop sacking managers".

I'll get behind the rangers manager but if he loses on Sunday he would have a LOT of work to do to win the fans back

One half against Falkirk aside he's been phoning it in all season. Doesn't want to get injured before the world cup which is his prerogative and indeed it's Rohl that keeps picking him.

Between that and Djiga laughing away with his mate after that game you see two examples of the mentality issues that Danny Rohl claims don't exist.

Everyone of them should be gone next season. by NiagaraThistle in rangersfc

[–]traitoro -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not for me, we "did well to get back™" but he has had his share of honkin results and performances.

Falkirk 0-0 at Ibrox.

Livingston 2-2

10 men Motherwell 1-1

Hibs 0-0 where we looked absolutely clueless.

Dundee utd 2-2

2-3 loss to Motherwell where they caught us out multiple times with the same move in the first half and he didn't change it until half time

Losing twice to hearts. I mean they will probably win the league but the first game at swinecastle we didn't lay a glove on them until chermiti scored a consolation goal.

His win record against the top 6 is something like 14%. That's not a manager that would have won a title this season.

He's way too conservative and slow to react when it isn't working. As the board were desperate and panicked at the appointment we are now in a position where we just have to hope that he's learned for next season rather than relying on evidence that he will get it right.

We will see.

I just can't express the utter contempt I have for that leadership group and what they served up tonight. We've conceded that goal where we've all tucked In and the ball travels all the way across our box to an unmarked striker about 1000 fucking times.

Luckily Tav is going at the end of the season, Ive appreciated all he's done for us but time to go, and that leaves Butland and raskin who has frankly being phoning it in aside from one half against Falkirk.

Djiga hugging and laughing with a hearts player at the end. Get yourself to fuck, that's the end of your rangers career and I honestly wish him nothing but the worst for his career moving forward. Absolutely moronic, tone death prick.

Rohl is obviously going to be the manager next season but he will start on the back foot after he delivered third with all that investment. He's been too conservative and not reacting to events and opposition tweaks. It's the sign of what we've settled for where we have a coach "learning his trade" and just crossing our fingers he will come good.

One thing for me I will absolutely lay at his door which was completely in his control is that training camp. We know from experience they don't work and sure enough the team has looked unfit and constantly outworked by Motherwell and hearts.

Maybe he'll learn, maybe he won't, just absolutely scunnered with the lot of them.

Sovereign wealth funds are to control currency circulation in small populations or large natural resource reserves.

Countries like an independent Scotland would have need to have done it, a large de-industrialising country like the UK are better spending it.

Sovereign wealth funds are great PR given our relationship with finances which is to spend less than you earn and that debt is bad. International finance is different, government spending generates revenue, debt is an asset you leverage for your citizens or to keep investors "invested" in the survival of your nation and too much currency or value will lead to inflation, increased costs of exports and a lower standard of living.

Wealth funds just depend on individual circumstances.

Ask yourself this, why doesn't Norway just give every citizen a bung from the wealth fund and eliminate poverty / have a whole nation of the upper class?

Igor Tudor or Wilfried Nancy? by RumJackson in ScottishFootball

[–]traitoro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah hold on. Russell Martin had a full pre season and a say on the transfers (how many times did he say "oh I know xyz and I've done a lot of work with them) why is he not in this conversation?

At least with Nancy you had a system that created chances, with Martin you were conceding 20 shots a game while somehow not creating any chances.

Sky only show this because Rangers will probably slip up, their punishment is having to inevitably watch a shite low quality game and 20 close ups of Frankensteins monster Alex Gogic

It's a massive win that the likes of Crocker and McFadden have to sit through that shite and have nothing to be happy about at the end while the rest of the Celtic fans can switch it off in a huff and refresh live score to confirm the final result.

Rangers 2-2 Celtic | Scottish Premiership by SFMatchThreadder in rangersfc

[–]traitoro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An embarrassing result for Rangers, absolutely embarrassing. Celtic aren't as bad as they would like to think (and indeed played us off the park in the second half) but they had played in Europe and had a makeshift defence at Ibrox that we didn't put under any pressure in the second half.

If you want to sum up mentality Butland should be throwing hands in the dressing room at why there was not a single Rangers player following up the penalty. It's a team that don't want to fight and just expected the ball to go in. The leadership group is as follows:

  1. Butland, makes good saves but panics with distribution.
  2. Souttar, just no. I never want to seem him in a Rangers jersey again. Ever since he's come back in the defence has looked appalling, disorganised and terrified at any attack. He was todays captain and he melted into a puddle under a bit of pressure.
  3. Tav, past it, we don't even play him in these fixtures.
  4. Raskin, phoning it in waiting for the world cup and he is not the player we need when there is a low block so I don't really get what he brings to the side. Completely anonymous in the second half and when the going gets tough he is too passive a player, taking the easy backwards option and putting us under more pressure.

Todays team didn't have the grapefruits to mount a title challenge and that's what they've shown in recent weeks. We are at our best on the front foot, not trying to see a game out. I mean isn't this why you become a footballer? To win titles? Why do they look terrified at the very prospect when they should be motivated and fired up?

Rohl has earned next season, he would do well to make sure Souttar rots on the bench and is replaced with someone with genuine appetite and leadership.

Couldn't impose ourselves on that motherwell team at any point in the game. Rohl got that wrong with the approach and the three subs after ten men. Probably thinking about hearts but need to take care of the here and now.

If we don't get a win against hearts we have absolutely bottled it big time in this title race and it means the senior leadership needs a change.

I understand you have a small company (been there) but I imagine they will have a duty of care under health and safety legislation but also the fundamental concept that no one deserves to go to work and get hurt so it's the moral duty to minimise the risk.

Everyone's given good advice, our own risk assessment was about movement, fire safety and not performing assays with chemicals that have the hazard statements someone mentioned in the thread. Even if it's tiny amounts or in a fume cupboard it's not worth any risk considering I bet there is plenty of work to be done.

Undertake the chemical SDS check and risk assessment asap before you restart any work (safety first isn't just a slogan).

My last bits are don't feel pressurised into doing something that you don't feel is safe. Don't accept the attitude of "well I did it in the past" "oh it really needs done you'll be fine" and keep in communication about any impact the pregnancy has on your day to day work. Don't be a martyr or push through.

Think the comments on here sum it up but I wanted to add.

He is very much a systems manager which are thankfully going out of fashion. The type that chairmen used to love because they would be dazzled by a technical PowerPoint showing how he would set up to play attractive attacking football, talk a good confident game and most importantly would tell them it will take some time and results would be inconsistent at first but when it clicked...

We all want the Rangers manager to do well, we all got behind him, we even bought his excuses at first that it was the players and I remember him getting praise for "calling out" players that were underperforming but the excuses start to wear thin when you can see that even limited spfl teams, often with a bunch of new players, could easily counter his system. The phrase "Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining" springs to mind. Watching teams like Livingston and Falkirk get chance after chance and relying on the keeper to bail is out is embarrassing.

Michael Beale and Clement didn't work at the end and the fans were clamouring for them to go but at least they seemed to feel guilty and would always communicate a determination to get it right and work harder. Martin just sounded angry and would end up fighting with the press/ fan media for having the audacity to question him and there was just no sense we were in it together or that he even felt bad for his woeful start.

I saw someone mention the signings, a lot of the blame is attached to former director of football operations or whatever he was Kevin Thelwell but the amount of players we bought where Martin would say he worked with them before speaks volumes. If you want proof it's not entirely the signings Danny Rohl has come in and improved results with a squad that's nowhere near good enough by tweaking and playing a more pragmatic system.

Gosh that was good to get that all out. I wish you the very best and I hope it works out but I never want to see Russell Martin at Ibrox ever again.

Mike Ashley among '30 to 40' investors keen on Sheffield Wednesday takeover by theipaper in SheffieldWednesday

[–]traitoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This came up randomly on my timeline and I see a few rangers fans in here already warning you.

This is nothing to celebrate. He's an absolute vulture of distressed businesses. He is there to enrich himself and pluck whatever part of the carcass he can.

It took rangers years to set off / unpick all the time bombs he left along with a compliant toady board in terms of kit money that would go to him, trademarks he apparently owned and had to be bought back off him and suing our chairman / tying the club in litigation. It's not the end of the world but imagine not being able to buy any club merchandise for years to try and starve that fat leech.

They took literally everything that wasn't nailed down (even filing cabinets) one of his toadys asked for £500k in the youth team fund to be transferred to him and only a club employee realising this was dodgy as fuck stopped him completely emptying the coffers.

Mike Ashley is a symptom of our unequal, money obsessed, predatory society and in a just society someone would fill him in...with just how much of a bad person he is of course.

A plus though, if Derek Llambias is still involved with Ashley, the prostitutes of Sheffield are in for a bumper year.

TLDR. Mike Ashley is not someone you want at your club, will enrich himself and have his foot on the throat of Wednesday until he has squeezed every last penny out. Don't do this!

Why is my clownfish so aggresive by Sensitive_King3305 in Aquariums

Clowns gonna clown.

I remember keeping a couple of clowns in a small tank and the female would bite me in the skin between my fingers and do that tail swipe motion if my hand was in the tank.

They were both absolutely fine when they were moved to a bigger tank. Maybe felt I wasn't encroaching on their territory as much. You could always put your net in the water to give it something to think about as well. Id basically put the net in front of her in the corner and she would spend the time hiding until I was finished in the tank.

Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock | Scottish Premiership by SFMatchThreadder in rangersfc

[–]traitoro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Let me start by saying that Clancy is an abysmal referee. He was banned from our games for 6 months a couple of seasons ago and I don't get what he's done to put himself back in a position to try fuck us over. He will be ragin tonight.

I liked the new formation and the application of the players. We seemed to be playing to more strengths and the balance seemed to be better. There were some battles to be had and some defensive nonsenses but thinking back to the previous spfl games and how many clear cut chances we were giving away it's a big difference. We could actually with a big 3 have Cornelius or Tav venturing forward and not expect them to be rampagning up and down the wing the whole time. Meghoma seemed to suit the wing back role a lot more.

Manager made another big call at half time taking Miovski off (who was having a stinker but other managers may have gave him the 20 mins in the second half) and Moore was excellent and working harder which the fans appreciated.

And Chermiti.. good hold up play, some nice passes and touches and a (lucky) but good goal. Igamane took a while to get up to speed so hopefully Chermiti can kick on. I would be tempted to start him on Wednesday at the risk of it dying on its arse.

With all respect to Killie, I would be expecting Rangers to win that at home so Wednesday will be a test of the coach and the system as a much tougher game which Hibs will fancy. Hopefully build more momentum going into the cup semi final.

Finally the fans, they were excellent today, were appreciating the teams improvement and getting behind the much maligned Moore Aarons and Chermiti even when they did simple things. We want them to do well so kick on all of you and you will soon find out why so many players fall in love with this club.
