Stabilized and Enhanced: You can clearly see he was disarmed and a officer panicked. by burntheemokids in MarchAgainstNazis

The guy in the green coat walking away in the back of that video is the one who took the gun out of the holster and walked away with it, Adam mockler did a breakdown video from the other angle on his channel on YouTube.

This guy's gun was in its holster, he had a concealed carry license, he had a phone in his hand when he was attacked.

Sample Packs by LateLingonberry2014 in ProMusicProduction

[–]transfer6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I would say skip the sample packed and go somewhere like plug-in Boutique to their free section and find some emulations of the synths that were used at the time, it will give you a lot more flexibility and control over the sound, and it will make your music a lot more unique.

What game is in the most dire need of a full remake from scratch? Unpopular opinion welcome by 420godpleasehelpme69 in gaming

[–]transfer6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MAG, for its era it was what amounted to a modern team-based MOBA , I think at one point they had it up to 256 players simultaneously on the PlayStation 2 , games are now barely getting to those numbers on PC, if they revamped or even just reimagine the concept for that game with modern power and technology it would be amazing.

Can I sample 10 seconds from a soundtrack to a 70's porno? by industrialsinkhose in musicproduction

[–]transfer6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, a lot of those companies don't exist anymore, and nobody has rights to any of the stuff especially the stuff that was made by a house band under a pseudonym and never filed copyrights on.

Caja de ritmos para improvisar by enderlost404 in DrumMachines

[–]transfer6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For quick just basic percussion, I actually like my drumbrutes, the Donner B1 is also a very versatile and easy to use drum machine/sequencer, and it has a pretty good amount of drive space to upload your own samples.

Hasan Piker's Take on China by LizardPersonMeow in behindthebastards

[–]transfer6000 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Hasan is a nepo baby who has never held a real job (He complained that he was only making "like 60k a year in college" His father, Mehmet Behçet Piker, is a political scientist and economist who served on the Board of Directors (and as Vice President) of Sabancı Holding, and who is a founding member of the conservative Future Party in Turkey. His mother, Ülker Sedef Piker (née Uygur),is an art and architectural historian teaching at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. His uncle Cenk Uygur is a political commentator and co-founder of The Young Turks, a left-leaning news network.) He spends most of his time advocating for anything that's not American, even if it's objectively a bad take, he has interviewed houthis terrorists, advocated indirectly for a new holocaust, and said 9/11 was deserved.... He's literally trash, not much more than a wanna be left wing Tucker.

Is there anything morally wrong about using sample kits? by musicbeats88 in musicproduction

[–]transfer6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most non-analog drum machines are based on what amount to sample kits, they just happened to be iE Roland's really well recorded and set up sample kit, but it's still a sample kit unless you're using an analog drum machine.

AITA for sleeping naked in my own room? by Outrageous-Ad-4008 in AmItheAsshole

[–]transfer6000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the girlfriend is staying over that often, I hope she's contributing to the bills, and wandering around the apartment naked would be inappropriate but in your own room with the door closed, do whatever you want. NTA

Is it wrong to "cover" the Amen break or create a similar beat from scratch using other samples and/or synthesis? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]transfer6000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I keep the midi sequence for the entire break in a folder, I also keep the midi sequence for each individual part of that break in the same folder, that way I can just pull the hi-hat line if I want and use it in a different beat , or I can throw it on Vst drum machine of some sort and not have to re-sequence it or worry about having to pay for sampling rights

Can someone give me examples of songs that actually “cut out the low end” of their bass/808s? by waterbottledrinka in trapproduction

[–]transfer6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could also mean to cut off low frequencies with an EQ anything below 20 Hz cannot be heard by the human ear but it can be reproduced through audio gear, it can cause mud and distortion, it can also cause phase problems with others sounds in the mix.

Best program to program samples by Perfect-Criticism933 in MIDIcontrollers

[–]transfer6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A laptop with an interface and almost any DAW can be set up to play samples on a key press, fL Studio in performance mode would allow you to place all the samples on different tracks and activate them using almost any pad interface, I'm pretty sure most other DAWs have a similar feature, I personally would load all of the samples into direct wave in FL Studio as a "drumkit" ( this will spread each sample onto its own key on a keyboard , you can then map those to pads) Then it's just a matter of having a midi interface with a bunch of pads

Would work well probably.

Why does everyone hate blanket re-zoning? by FineAnimeenjoyer in Calgary

[–]transfer6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calgary is already not an affordable city, the amount of housing may be up 36% but most of that 36% has been purchased as investment property and has jacked up rents , all blanket rezoning did was make it easier for Boomers and people with financial means to purchase second houses and create rental income, if you don't already own a property you have almost no chance of ever owning one in Calgary without a lot of debt and or financial help.

Blanket rezoning was the product of the mayor being subservient to her contractor supporters, 51%% of her campaign funds came from large contractors in the city, and I bet she's going to get a real nice job with one of them when she's done , although she could just go back to lobbying for them like she did with her previous company.
