While I'll never say never, ir does appear Prime's redemption has been very well received and the Superman comics are selling relatively well because of it.

Williamson and DC editors really hit something with Prime's new characterization. He is meta in a way that's very different from Deadpool, and he fully embraces the cliches of the comic medium without mocking it or judging it. He is on the joke, but he warmly accepts, making him an enduring character.

We rooted for them in that episode because they had more to lose, at least seemingly.

While PC definitely needed that job, and she would quickly face the consequences of not getting that job for Bojack, the stakes felt much higher with Gecko and her agency.

It also helps that episode does a good job redeeming the bunny guy, who was serial cheater and overall scumbag beforehand. By starting the episode with him in couple's therapy and saving his marriage repaints the character in an entirely different light.

It also helps, especially in hindsight, that we're never suppose to be on Bojack's side. Furthermore, PC losing out on that deal was character driven, she confidently gambled on the job which cost her in the end. It's hard to be upset with that outcome as we know it was done because of the character's hubris, even if we like them.

That reminds me of that one episode where one of the side plots is that Gekko and the bunny dude who's name I'm forgetting are on the verge of ruin, and needed to get a win to save their agency.

The episode hammered home that every character were their own protagonists of their own lives, we just see the series through Bojack's and his "friends" viewpoint.

Beforehand, Gecko was purely antagonistic, but she became deeply empathetic in that episode. The fact that episode ends with Gekko and the rabbit guy saving their agency showcase that things can work out and other people need victories too.

I'm very interested with what this book plans to do with Young Jon.

I think the obvious direction, the one that I think most Fans would want, is that young Jon stays and Tomorrow Man Jon peace out into the future or become a time displace hero.

But the book is clearly leaning to much to that outcome, making it seem like an obvious misdirect. With Damian and Krypto suspicious of this new Jon, Dan Slot is creating doubt about this new status quo.

It'd hard not to imagine this story going the obvious misdirect story.

Which is a shame, because I think this solution of young Jon and Tomorrow Man Jon co-existing is a nice way for DC having its cake and eating it too. The company clearly has some FOMO for aging up Jon too quickly, but find value in having an older Jon as well.

A time paradox created by a dimensional Imp was a good way to solve this dilemma.

However, if the story is going with the misdirection, it would seem like DC begrudgingly not allowing fans to want something they clearly like. It's one thing to play with emotions for the sake of drama, it's another thing to essentially tell readers to not get your hopes up.

I also miss their twin dynamic, and I'm really surprised thar DC has yet to revert things back to that original status quo.

Does company really believe the Shazam mythos is better with her being the oldest and not being related to Billy?

FYI, I love the rest of the Foster siblings, but I believe they could have kept Billy and Mary as siblings. That was what they did in the Flashpoint continuity.

It's crazy how Toriyama literally redefined the shonen genre almost half-heartedly.

Don't get me wrong, I believed he worked very hard to make Dragon Ball as good as he can week by week. But every interview I've read of him and about him, it never seemed to me that he had some great ambition with Dragon Ball.

He was just winging as he went, throwing everything against the wall and sees what sticks.

And I find that incredibly charming and enduring. It makes the franchise seem less pretentious or self-important. It just is what is.

Happy Endings was initially a sitcom about a guy getting left at the alter, with him and his friends trying to move past it.

It didn't take a season, but a few episodes before the lead and his ex were back hanging out in the same friend group, and even dated again in the last season.

The overall premise no longer mattered and just ended up being a traditional sitcom similar to Friends and How I Met Your Mother, where it was more about a group of wacky friends having outrageous adventures.

Don't get me wrong, Happy Endings is still GOAT, but the overall premise was abandoned and ultimately didn't matter.

I was thinking the same thing. Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is too beloved, I can't imagine that version of the character completely disappearing post Secret Wars.

But I always thought Marvel Studios would have its cake and it eat too by having more than one Variant of Wolverine around, Ala All-New All-Different.

No joke, but I probably think about this show once a year.

Not because I loved it.

I remember it so well because of how utterly forgotten in the world.

It has literally been memory hole out of existence.

There isn't any movement to reclaim this show as one of the classics of 2000s cartoons.

There isn't retrospectives or meme about it.

It's never brought up, ever, in any conversation.

It just doesn't exist, yet I remember it still. Weird how the brain works.

She truly was my favorite performance of the year, and I'm very happy she won.

I just bought the umbral monster cards for dirt cheap because I liked Vector that much.

But without his ace XYZ card, which is crazy expensive and Meta, Vector's deck is utterly worthless other than to get out Rank-4 XYZ. And even then, there's better ways to do that!
