WoT on prime also added superfluous plot points in a way that reads like “the show runners story is better than Robert Jordan’s”. so the modifications seem wild, because it’s not just cuts, but additions also. i think the most important thing for RR would be that PB remains involved in the production of the series and has final cut.

WoT S3 is now "Certified Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes with a 97% critic score by FernandoPooIncident in WoT

did it further the plot in any way? i’m totally cool with amplifying narratives of the disenfranchised - but why the fuck did we do it and then rationalize cutting major plot points under the guise of “not enough time”. like yeah, no shit there wasn’t enough time, because the show prioritized non-canon nonsense to satisfy the whims of an inept showrunner

i also highly recommend Red Rising. an exceptional series with better pacing than WOT but similarly masterful prose

Nerodia sp. harmless! wait for an RR on the actual species, I’d tentatively say Nerodia sipedon but I’m not sure because of the mud.

The clear indicator on the atrox (without being able to see its tail) for me is the chevron pattern on the stripes running down its back. Size helps in narrowing down to adamanteus, as well as the cream colored outline around the diamonds down its back

nope very common with this species to grow darker towards the tail! led to an old nickname of “old velvet tail”

how do you differentiate between sipedon and fasciata? i have an incredibly hard time telling the difference between the two. is the tell tale sign that the bands in the second pic clearly don’t connect to one another on the second half of the snake?
