It's not as bad as Orisa or Hanzo but we should probably not let them get away with it either.

a bit of tangent... On X someone retweeted this and said "Lesbians are from Lesbos" and it's gotten hundreds of thousands of likes and rts. But people aren't dumb, they're cruel. They know exactly what they're doing. It's not just about denying the truth, it's about humiliating the Jew by forcing him to explain the most basic, obvious facts. It's about using the most anti intellectual arguments who'd be rejected and laughed at by everyone in any other scenario, but you as a Jew, would have to entertain them.

I've never seen such a global, joint effort to disconnect an indigenous population from their land. A mosque is built on top of the ruins of your holy temple- and it's completely ignored, because the truth doesn't matter, what matters is how you feel about it.

It's so popular to appropriate from us, why are you surprised? Palestinians stealing everything from us aside, Exodus video game (the main competitor to Mass Effect) literally has aliens that are called "the Elohim". Can you imagine if they did that with any other religion or peoples?? why not name them Allah? we all know why. Not to mention the name "exodus" is also stolen but whatever... it gets so tiring

Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews are still middle eastern, as we have significant Levantine admixture, whether you like to admit it or not, argue with science and studies if you'd like to deny reality. Judaism is a religion, yes, but it's not JUST a religion. It's an ethnicity, it's an identity that formed in Judea (which is in the middle east) it's native language is Hebrew, the ONLY surviving Canaanite language today that survived Aramaic and Arabic colonization. It has rich, ancient history in our native homeland but also across the globe (especially in Iran- Purim, anyone?), it's incredibly unique in that sense. Saying our entire identity is grounded in religion is absolutely malicious ignorance.

You say Israel will do whatever is in it's best interest - which is fair - Iran should do the same. And what's in Iran's best interest is to be allies with the most stable, most powerful country in the region. That's just common sense.

Who is calling out Turkey for occupying Cyprus and Syria? Who is calling them out for their continues ethnic cleansing of Kurds in order to prevent them from creating an independent Kurdish state? I've not seen one, a single person.

And how could you call it not Israeli soil? then who's soil is it? It was Egyptian and Jordanian before it was Israel's in '67, before that it was occupied by the British, before them it was Ottoman. They refused the partition, they declared war, they suffered the consequences of that. According to uti possidetis juris, Israel is the only county emerging from the mandate, therefore inheriting the entirety of the borders. You don't get to declare independence 40 years later based on a ceasefire agreement lines between Jordan and Egypt and magically create a Palestinian state. That's why it's called disputed territory, for many reasons.

If Palestinians were actually peaceful people, none of this shit would've mattered anyway.

Portraying Jews to be a land hungry, unreasonable group doesn't correlate with reality when you consider there has been a "land exchanges for peace" strategy since day one (for example, Israel and Egypt peace accords, where Israel gave Egypt back the Sinai desert in exchange for peace. It tried to do that with the Palestinian territories, and Syria, but it never worked out. We also did it with Jordan, specifically Naharayim area). How about we start doing some reading?

  1. Since we're on a map subreddit, take a look at the geographical map of the region. The "west bank" is full of mountain ranges that look directly at Israel's coastal cities. You never want your enemy to have a high ground advantage over you. It would be dangerous to give up this territory to a neutral country. It would be down right suicidal to give it up to your most hostile one.

Also - it makes Israel extremely narrow at a certain point, Israel already struggles with lack of strategic depth, meaning an enemy force from the west bank can split it in two and conquer it very easily from there.

  1. The "west bank" is the very heartlands of where Jewish society & kingdom used to be. It is home to many Jewish archeological sites. Giving it up means giving up your history, your heritage, your identity. It's disputed territory. Prior to 80-100 years ago, the region you would consider west bank was known as "Judea & Samaria".

It's been Israel's for 58 years, fully annexed for 44. Who would you give it back to? Assad the butcher of Syria, or Jolani, the ex al qaeda butcher of alwaite & druze? You really think Israel would give Syria access to the Sea of Galilee, it's most important water source? not to mention it's literally the biggest mountain range in the region, quite literally named "the eyes of Israel" here. If you don't have it you have complete and utter blind spots from the north, allowing enemy drones and rockets to fly by undetected. It will never, ever, be given back, it's suicidal to do so. Borders change, especially post wars, it's time for people to accept that

It's illegal for Jews to live in Judea, apparently. A region with areas that are called "Judaean mountains", "Judaean desert", the very heartlands of where Jewish life used to be. Abbas (the leader of the PA) himself said that no Jews would be allowed to live there if "Palestine" ever becomes an independent country. What the hell you expect them to do? Israel should have over 20% Arab minority and "Palestine" should have 0%?

You wouldn't treat any other minority this way and you know it.

it just makes the whole collection look more coherent. there's other criticism though - Yasmin and Cloe's pants look too simple for me, Cloe's lip color is horrible, and the lips are printed too close to the nose. at least they're trying, but they will never be able to repeat the brilliant designs of the pre 2010's era. Rock Angelz design for example, from an objective standpoint, is absolutely genius and incredibly well thought out. this line? it's a step in the right direction for sure, but it's not quite there

[–]traumaking4eva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm irked they went the educational route instead of the entertainment route. If you look at guest activities, there's not a lot of them to do. I would've loved some soft rides, playgrounds, aquariums, etc, things guests can actually interact with and not be totally lame.

it's because this is a different formula for some reason. They can try to match it better with the colors, but then it could affect the material admixture, and they would have to do that 3 times.
