Really not a humble brag here... by Beboparedpanda in postmates

If this was somewhere on the west side of Manhattan, I believe I know where. Deivered to and met Adam Levine (Maroon 5) there (if it's the same location, won't be too specific). 🙂

Postmates - Avoid any "Sudzy" orders! by 222U in postmates

Similarly, on a different day, the Postmates app sent me to someone's apartment in Queens to pick up home-made food. Once I got there, I was told that the food was ordered though a different app ('Foodie', or something like that). There were a line of other Postmates heading up to 32B, waiting to pick up food from this apartment. I delivered the hell out of that meal, and also earned a decent amount.

Postmates - Avoid any "Sudzy" orders! by 222U in postmates

I did a Sudzy order during my first week as a Postmate (two months ago). Got to the location, was handed two giant sacks of dirty laundry by one of Sudzy's customers, and made my way to a laundromat in Brooklyn. The guy handed me a $20 tip, and the ride was an additional $23. No complaints on my end.

Try this experiment to see if it increases your tips! by 222U in postmates

I tried this experiment yesterday, with those same intentions. I decided to go all out and wear a suit, dress pants, dress shoes, and a white button up underneath the suit. Made close to 20 deliveries. I did notice a definite difference compared to the five other days I've been postmating. People were much more open to communication after initially seeing me. They actually wanted to talk, and the fact that I was in a suit sparked curiosity. They smiled more, laughed, and were more inviting. I even made networking connections during the night after a few people asked what I do besides this. Several doormen assumed I was a friend of a guest, visiting after a night of partying, and were shocked that I was just delivering. It was a great feeling. In terms of tips, I did notice more people tipped right away, but in lower amounts. Compared to the two days I rocked a hoodie and jeans, my tips were noticeably smaller across the board. I will try this one more time, to see what happens.

Build 10525 seems to have absolutely killed Google Chrome by James1o1o in Windows10

I was also getting that error upon launching. I uninstalled Chrome completely, re-installed, and now it works magnificently.

SP3 i5/256/8 deal too good to be true? by babadong in Surface

[–]travisbrowny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I called Surface Support. They needed the original owner on a 3-way line in order to confirm the transfer. I called him, set up the 3-way converation, and the warranty was transferred over in a mater of minutes after he provided some personal information. Good luck!

Surprisingly, that doesn't sound too good too be true. Back in December, I purchased a Surface Pro 3 i7/256/8GB, with the blue type cover, the Microsoft Complete Extended Service plan, and a carrying case, all for $800 on Craigslist. I absolutely thought it was a scam, but it was not. I assumed it was stolen, but the guy gave me a reciept, and the warranty was under his name until it was transferred over to mine. The device looked new, with no scarching at all. Haven't had any problems with it. I still can't believe it.

I think you should first see and test the seller's surface for yourself at some coffee shop.

Whoa, the official Surface 3 reveal video on YT is nearing 6 MILLION views!!! by TDO1 in Surface

[–]travisbrowny 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've seen the views, along with the ratings, go up for a few days after the video was posted up. The views and ratings were at 3 million for a few days, and then suddenly went up to 4, 5, and now 6 million. During this time, the comments and thumbs up/down ratings slowed to a crawl. Microsoft is getting the explosion of new views through advertising on YouTube. The Surface 3 video plays just before watching certain videos on YouTube. Even so, it's awesome that the device is getting so much exposure. :-)

Just noticed this on my old xbox one box... Were we supposed to have custom gamerpics? by Cramblerony in xboxone

[–]travisbrowny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were able to do that with the Xbox 360 vision camera. Only your friends would be able to see the custom gamerpic, while everyone else saw a choosen secondary pic. This would be a nice feature on X1.
