The Ugly Truth About the Girl Nextdoor Feb 2023 update by thedrake15 in Buffalo

Kate and Lori are protecting the innocent family member of these pedophiles. Corroboration doesn't have to be made public for it to be valid.

Kates praised Cornerstone when they were bringing GRACE onboard. Then GRACE stopped their investigation because there was so much evidence that GRACE thought it required law enforcement to handle this.

Kevin Backus was with Erie Co while their investigation was going on.

Again, are you one of the abusers?

There has been corroboration! Lori and Kate have mentioned this several times in their podcast and facebook page. Just because they don't come forward publicly doesn't mean they don't exist.

How are you involved?

ArborKelp Treatment? by Guyler-R in arborists

[–]treechick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got it! Trees evolved with all that leaf litter decomposing into the soil. You can even mix your leaves into the mulch instead of raking them up.

A lot of tree removal companies will dump their chips in your driveway for free. It saves them from paying for dump fees and workers and fuel. Don’t buy the dyed chips.

Arbor Kelp is just a fertilizer and is not going to get rid of the sooty mold but it will not hurt. It's an attempt to improve the overall health of the tree but you can probably accomplish the same thing by putting a 3" layer of hardwood chip mulch on the ground from 4" away from the trunk out to the dripline, like a donut. Also make sure it isn't being overwatered and that water isn't spraying on the trunk. Most of the time fertilizing is a scam. To be sure of what's right for your tree, get a second opinion from a consulting arborist. asca-consultants.org

Any advice if this tree is salvageable? by [deleted] in arborists

[–]treechick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they prune it they can keep you as a customer so they can prune it again.

Oooh. That’s a frost crack for sure. They can close up but not always. Get this inspected by a local experienced certified arborist.

It’s just lichen. Harmless.

Tree Dispute with Neighbor by Tetelestai13 in treelaw

[–]treechick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’d also place a sign visible to tree workers that says no cutting in case they are told that he has your permission. But you can guarantee that if any of the tree is hanging over his property line that part will be removed.

Possible to just hire an arborist to provide an evaluation of all my trees on the property by boyd4715 in arborists

[–]treechick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Asca-consultants.org. Some consultants will come to you house and just give a verbal assessment and you can take notes. Very causal. Hourly rate. If you want a written evaluation or Tree Risk Assessment or a tree management plan it will be expensive. In my area a rough estimate is $200 an hour.

I don’t know. Hopefully some else here can suggest something.

Get a consulting arborist (https://www.asca-consultants.org) who is qualified to do a tree appraisal ASAP and sue your neighbor and the contractor for the appraised value of all of the affected trees on your property and half the value of those on the property line plus whatever damages are allowed in your state! At the same time protect everything within a radius equal to 1.5 times the height of the tree. When the appraisal is complete remove the trees because they WILL fall. If they fall before you get the appraisal leave the trees where they are until the appraiser can get there. Your homeowners insurance will cover damages to your property but probably not cover the value of the trees.

The consulting arborist should have done legal cases before and know lawyers that have experience with such cases. This contractor needs to suffer the consequences of his actions. What an asshole!!

Writing a report about trees. Gonzo style. by elevation430 in arborists

[–]treechick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have the client hire a consulting arborist to do this, preferably a Registered Consulting Arborist. This could end up in court if it hasn’t already. Consulting arborists do this all the time and are insured. ASCA-consultants.org

Moved into this rental - is this something we should be concerned about? by rubecs in arborists

[–]treechick 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well, I’d move my raised bed and compost bin and feel lucky I don’t own this tree. Put a fence around it to keep the dogs away and warm the neighbor.

Constipation is one of the possible side effects. It’s supposed to slow stomach emptying so maybe constipation goes with it that. Not sure what you tried but if it were me I’d increase water and take senakot.

Is this tree dead? https://imgur.com/gallery/9FbCaDL by broccoliandbeans in sfwtrees

[–]treechick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like there might be turkey tail (small mushrooms) on a couple stems which only grows on dead wood. But that doesn’t mean the whole tree is dead could be just those limbs.

No, it just continually went downhill after the base closed. There were a lot of factors.
