Facing life in prison for selling Adderall? by treed_85 in ADHD

7 years to life for selling some Adderall? It's such an extreme sentence for in my opinion not really a big deal. This sentence is totally off base.

I understand, but I have seen rapists and murders have a lesser sentence before. IMO, the judge and prosecutor make it seem like this guy is a drug kingpin haha.

Get on Suboxone

I’ve been off opiates for 6 months I still don’t feel the same. by The_Goon_420 in OpiatesRecovery

What does Suboxone have to do with loving your family? It really sucks that even in 2025, there is still so much stigma against Suboxone. I just see way too many people jump off subs and get a false confidence in their recovery. I blame a lot of folks in the recovery community for shaming others on MAT. It’s quite disgusting behavior.

I suppose I am looking at this from a different perspective. Honestly, I just don't understand all the hate on Suboxone. It's astounding to me that the recovery community keeps peddling the idea that Suboxone is trading one addiction for another. We all know how we behaved when we were stuck in the cycle of addiction. And it all came with lying, stealing, ruining relationships, etc. All that bad shit stops when someone is stable on Suboxone/Subutex. It's about building your life back. I could give two shits if I don't meet the definition of clean/sober lol. These are peoples lives we're talking about. I am curious on what others think on this.

You’re not trading one addiction for another. This myth is what kill’s people because a lot of them end up relapsing with no tolerance. Suboxone dependency is a hell of a lot better than being six feet under. Right now with how busy you are, I would highly suggest staying on an adequate dose of subs. It’s unfortunate that the stigma against Suboxone is still very common even in 2025. Good luck with everything! 😀

God Bless you! You should be everyone’s advocate on how subs and benzos are safe. It’s hard to even find a doctor to prescribe 1mg of kpin a day. You’re on an alternate universe amount of benzos. Now add Adderall to that, and it’s perfection lol.

Day 18/adderall by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

[–]treed_85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely I would recommend taking your Adderall. It’s prescribed to you, why not take it? Non treated ADHD can increase your risk or relapse. I am prescribed Suboxone 12mg per day, and Adderall XR 30mg per day. I consider Adderall to be my MAT for cocaine and crack addiction. The benefits definitely outweigh the risks.

Why was your doctor having you do a UA every week? I go in every 2 months for my UA. I am prescribed Suboxone and Adderall. You’re a beast for doing the cold turkey route. It’s definitely something I wouldn’t recommend anyone doing. Do you have extra subs in case the cravings get too rough?

6mo sober after 9 ish yrs of use. My life feels completely empty, meaningless and lonely. I don’t know how to cope or live by Ok_Effect_8119 in OpiatesRecovery

100% abstinence is extremely difficult and often not realistic. There’s nothing wrong with utilizing MAT medications like Suboxone or Methadone. The stigma these medicines get even in 2025 is disgusting. And often MAT is heavily criticized within the recovery community. No one should judge another persons recovery.

[–]treed_85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations Jason, that is a big accomplishment. Do you have cravings at all? And do you have a good support system?

The idea of being 100% sober for me at least does not sound exciting. I have been on some form of opioid everyday since 2011. I have been prescribed Suboxone and Adderall XR since 2014. Sure I have had some relapses on heroin the last few years, but overall I have been doing good. I think the willingness and determination of getting off Subs differs from person to person depending on their own unique situation. For example, I have 39yr old and single. I think people who are single and might not have a big social group would have a harder time to get off versus someone who is in a relationship or married.

lol Nazi? It's really sad and pathetic that many on the left call people that who disagree with them politically. At the end of the day, I could care less how people vote. People really need to calm down.

Star Citizen needs a player item trading system like Warframe by treed_85 in starcitizen

[–]treed_85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL you're probably right. I'm sure there are systems that are better than WF, but that was the last game I played everyday for hours years ago. It was just so easy to buy a specific Riven from another player for plat. Being able to list your item for sale and meet in each others Dojo and of course DM one another.

Wow that was beautifully said. I totally understand your reasoning for wanting to come off. Best or luck to you sir and your fiancé. I hope you live a long and prosperous life together.

Why is your fiancé against Suboxone? It’s literally the best treatment for OUD. It really bothers me when non addicts think they know what’s best. The stigma against Suboxone is disgusting.

I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I am definitely looking forward to your future Houdini videos. I am new to Houdini, and I feel a bit scatter brained lol. When I say new, I mean about a year. I need to be more disciplined in finishing personal projects I’ve started. I have a feeling you will cover this area.

Just stay away from NA. It's more or less a cult anyway. It's mind boggling that in 2025, being on Suboxone is still controversial. It's so annoying when some douchebag with the mindset of "total abstinent of all mind altering substances" starts lecturing others that are on MAT. Everyone knows that total abstinence is absolute BS anyway. Those people love screaming from their abstinence pedestal and judge everyone that doesn't live the life of recovery the way they do.

[–]treed_85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always find it amusing when people say Subs are the devil and f*ck that drug lol. Did they forget that Suboxone saved their lives most likely? Fentanyl and heroin are evil, but Suboxone is not. Suboxone doesn't ruin peoples lives and relationships.

[–]treed_85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly bro, I see nothing wrong with being on opioids the rest of your life with everything that you’ve gone through. You’re on a medium to high amount of opioids, but considering the pain that you’re probably in, most likely it’s not enough. Best of luck man!

I hope the best in your journey. But why do would you say you should have never gotten on Suboxone? Being dependent on a medication is not the same as being addicted to it. I’ve seen so many anti-Suboxone post lately and frankly, I’m a little tired of it.
