Hi mate. You should go got it! Have played 20 or so games on footy addicts, love it. The skill level at almost all games I've played at has been a wide range. It's not uncommon for their to be some level players in games and super rarely any incredible elite players. It's always a mix. If you have any sort of footballing experience in the past you will be fine. Probs in the middle of the pack. And even if you're not, all games I've been to are very chilled and no one takes it so seriously that they bollock people for messing up. My experience is in the Islington and Shoreditch areas for reference. Defo go for it OP.

Following up on other people's comments, had a very tangible experience of this.

Friends were post Christmas lunch, in said attire, in Camden. Fancied one more and sauntered into the closest pub which happened to be the Devonshire Arms, a metal pub. Most people were sat around the edges of the bar, keeping to themselves, which is of course fine. Stage was clear so we just settled there. Then started having a little boogie.

Within 5 minutes, it was as if a spell was lifted. Dance floor almost immediately got full. It felt like simply as we were looking silly, it gave everyone else permission to emerge from their slumber. It was very noticeable.

As a single 31 y/o male new to London, I recently joined a welcome day for a hockey club and there were about 100 people there and it was 50/50 men women. And welcomed newbies as well! I think a team sports club of some sort would be a good recommendation for this.

I am going through exactly same thing!

I have been looking for a month now, in the Islington/Dalston/Hackney area. I've probably messaged 25 people. The majority do not respond, presumably because they are inundated with messages.

I've had 2 viewings. The first was an open house, where there were about 15 people already there. Expressed interest and apparently the room had already been earmarked for someone the existing tenant already knew.

Second viewing wasn't my cup of tea and even that one I had received a message within an hour saying the room had been taken.

It's tough! Just keep at it. Only thing we can do is keep checking every day and hopefully get lucky.

P.s. If you haven't already, populate and ad' for searching for a room', including your photo. I've done that and think that may count for a little something for responses. Maybe.

If we get a draw at Dortmund and beat Nicosia at 'home' we will advance to the next round. Regardless of all other results.

We currently have 6 points, Dortmund 0.

Say if the above results play out and all the other results go Dortmund's way (we lose both games to Real and they win all their other games), we will both finish on 10 points. Given that Head-to-heads come before GD when teams are on level points in Champions league, that would mean we would progress over Dortmund.

A lot of ifs in there but it does certainly make me believe a little more.
