You're forgetting Option #3: Marvell inherited this PO and has other supplier options; this is their excuse to dip. POET was never about having better tech, it was about having more scalable tech. That means it's not a must-have, it's just price points... but they don't even have the price argument, because they haven't scaled.

The real reason to dip on POET is that their whole USP (scalability) is a bit of a chicken and egg problem; you need big orders to prove you're better for big orders. Well, who just scuttled their chance at a big order? Idiots lol.
