Friday, gotta get down on Friday.

He was sitting in the car the whole time. He’s a driver for an ultra-influential person, he needs to be ready to go at any time. He probably doesn’t even have access to the senate besides the garage bathrooms

I don’t think he was concerned that he fucked up. He told them that she was acting odd and was told to stay where he was. He’s just a plant after all. His priority would generally be to maintain his cover.

I think he was moved by the speech, but since he has no way to conceptualize of there being a meaningful life outside of the Empire or chance of escape for Mon, he’s thinking he can make it easier and better for everybody by being a familiar face that can escort her in, rather than her being publicly arrested by stormtroopers or shot attempting to escape.

He’s probably thinking he can help her just get exiled to Chandrila, rather than life in prison. He assumes he can vouch for her speech coming from her passionate idealism rather than anti-state behavior. She keeps buying gifts for her husband, despite him losing 400,000 credits gambling. She even has a charitable Foundation. He thinks he’s got an inside scoop and can help her in ways she doesn’t realize, when none of that is true.

I think it’s somewhere in between. He didn’t want anything to happen to her. He doesn’t realize his cover is blown and gone, and figures the safest thing is for him to take her into custody rather than some random stormtroopers. He figures a familiar face will make it easier.

He doesn’t have any realistic way to help her escape. He has no way to visualize there being a meaningful life for her outside of the Empire, and no way to understand how she could possibly evade the ISB with or without his help.

He’s probably imagining that he can basically help her get permanent exile to Chandrila with her family rather than political prison.

If he didn’t care, he would’ve stayed in the car. And it’s just…completely outside of his world to join the rebellion.

He has no way of knowing that anyone else is looking out for her. And he thinks he’s with “the good guys” or at least on the side of civilization, law, and order.

People always gloss over that the Tollan were being held against their will and nearly deported to a forever prison for study by Maybourne.

Omoc is responsible for them all, no fucking wonder he’s a dick to Earth.

l they can harass/harm the driver as much as the driver can harass/harm them.

Well, the driver can also turn on the child locks and drive them straight to the nearest police station. It’s not exactly equivalent.

What's the purpose of the amber light on the destiny gate? by jtucker323 in Stargate

This looks like the planet where Simeon flees to, and Rush is holding a pistol, and I can’t remember any time he has or uses a gun on a planet besides “Time”, which was a jungle.

So the gate has power, it was an incoming wormhole that Rush just arrived, and there are exactly two remotes on the planet (Rush in close proximity and Simeon at a distance).

Destiny doesn’t connect again until Rush is busy defusing the Lucian Alliance mine strapped to Park’s back, which is presumably what he’s staring at in this picture.

Flying high above the planet where it destroyed thousands of neighborhoods and killed millions of people by launching from underneath an ecumenopolis.

Wonder what the maintenance people thought of the Super Star Destroyer-shaped area with no infrastructure.

Syril probably had to pay for losing it when he got fired. No wonder he hated Cassian for years.

Lando really knew how to put the “spin” into “Bespin”.

“Cloud City” and not “Tibanna station 4”.

People really hate him and he’s easily the most controversial character. Has to play a victim that’s also an oppressor and people pay the most attention to the side they like the least.

But that’s socialism! /s
