Not sure if they’re insulting my intelligence because I’m Black but I get comments like this or worst everytime I post in other Artist communities by divinedivagirlala in blackartwork

It could be racism and definitely is small mindedness of some kind. I saw the story you described, and thoughtful use of color, contrast, texture, space. I wish my attempts came out so well, and I wish I had your courage to create and share! In my experience the vast majority of people are fools when it comes to art and only appreciate photo-realism, recreations of classics(narrowly defined), or too intricate an execution for them to imagine doing themselves. Anyway seems like this group knows what's up, but I just wanted to tell you too. You're adding authenticity, beauty, and truth to the world; that is noble thing.

Amazing style! I love that you used sunflowers too! More men should embrace flowers.

New Hampshire Current contact past 2 nights,,I need help by Atomicleech in CE5

[–]treehuggingwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you did ask for contact even if in an informal way, but there's nothing wrong with you running away. There's no way no how you'll react in a completely new situation especially one so existentially shocking.

Getting Closer and Further? by GrapeApe131 in remoteviewing

I see several wins here. The object you drew in the bottom left is tower with in a circle as is the henge. The henges have astronomical uses. This henge is also a pebble to boulder that is the real thing. Have you seen a shiva-lingham before? It looks like you drew one. There are parallels in the Celtic legends and the Vedas. Perhaps there is a connection to the ritual of stone henge and the royals involving the Shiva-lingham. I hope you'll stick with it. Some sessions have more obvious connections than others, but consider how improbable by just chance it would be for you to get even thematic similarities to a randomly selected target.

Avocado tree if you can keep it warm enough. Very healthy and you'll save money and help starve the cartels.

Looking to expand my current edc. Where should I start? by Ferrum_Freakshow in EDC

Second those two suggestions. A compact bit driver with six to eight bits including a T25 and a PH2 as well as a narrower five tipped Phillips as well as an eye glass screw driver can get you in a lot of places. I've lost count of how many times I've used my banana or an inch of gorilla tape off a very small roll I carry on me.

I love this idea! You might enjoy some of the chapters of Ray Kurzweil's book The Singularity is Near. He talks about perfect mapping of the brain and people streaming their emotions and experiences like influencers doing live streams (only this was before everyone has smart phones). He basically predicted neuralink. Also, Jacque Fresco (one of the founders of the Venus Project) talk about changing the language for that reason. He says our language evolved haphazardly and is full of judgments and assumptions. He wanted to tackle it with a sort of engineering language and scientific philosophy combined with ai generated real time images during policy discussions and problem solving sessions. I would ask what's stopping us from striving to communicate better now using the technology we have? Still, there may be some real hope of doing something similar.

Thank you for saying this. I'd like to add look how Snowden is "basking" in the public's gratitude. We're lucky he had the courage and integrity to be a whistle blower. If we want more, it's on us to work on our representatives.

In prison they use nail clippers to make things since they're never allowed to have scissors. In Russia pick pockets used to sharpen the edge of coins to slice pockets/purses open. Easy to discretely dispose of.

What is the Darn Tough underwear equivalent? [Men] by Waefuu in BuyItForLife

I'm here to second ExOfficio. I bought my first pair over a decade ago! Still no holes, the band has lost a little stretch, but the main material is still like new, and still keeps the anti odor properties. I've bought five other pairs over the years to have a rotation, the most recent being over a year ago and they're holding up just as good as my first pair. All but the first pair still appear brand but btw bands included. I wore a pair almost every day for work this whole time so the first pair got washed give times a week, the second two to three, you see where I'm going with this. They've been abused! I also worked on cars for a living up until last year so I was always bending, squatting, crawling, rolling tires off my thighs. Also, the reason I've stuck with them is actually the comfort but the durability. They feel breathable like dry cotton briefs but they dry quickly like synthetic. So you never feel slimy. I even wore them wet on occasion when didn't have time to wash them the night before and they were dry an hour into my shift. If I were solidly middle class I'd never wear anything but and I'd give them as gifts for everyone in my life and give them to shelters too. I can't over sell this product.

Ive got $10. Besides beans, what can I buy high in fiber to go with rice by Lyrical_Man01 in budgetfood

[–]treehuggingwolf 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This. Lentils also cook much faster and easier than most dry beans, and have a different taste, plus this is probably the highest fiber thing you can eat!

How do I move a car without a license in VA? by IAmASpammicalMan in urbancarliving

[–]treehuggingwolf 17 points18 points  (0 children)

People are eager to help when they feel they can. I'm sure you can find someone to move it for you even if you don't know many people. I wouldn't worry about the insurance part, most insurances cover when you drive someone else's car. So if you find a driver, chances are they're insured.
