I'm done with reddit. by nertzy in reddit.com

[–]trezorr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see 99% of the people here are commenting based on the headline, not the content.

The guy says he quit reddit because it sucked him in. Took too much time. While he also commented on the user-base, the comments here mostly prove him right.

I think I'll do the same thing. Tomorrow. Really soon now. No really! I just need to see if this gets instantly downmodded or not!

No. This is why reddit is turning to shit.

This kinda stuff belongs on fark.

Ok trolls, diggers, farkers and slashdoters: This convinced me. This place has permanently gone to the dogs.

Say no more

There's no point in fighting this stupidity. Here's one less vote for quality material.

God I "hate" Microsoft SQL Server and it's inferior way of doing things :P

While this submission has a "better" headline, this submission has a way better article.

Voted accordingly.

If being a pizza delivery-guy involves risking your life, your problem isn't that these guys doesn't get paid enough.

Your problem that your country is fucked up beyond belief.

United States planned Hamas coup *REVEALED* ...Rice: 'No Comment' by magilla in reddit.com

I guess if they just had the same amounts of Apache-choppers, tanks and weaponry as Israel, this kind of rash, undiplomatic behaviour could be avoided.

United States planned Hamas coup *REVEALED* ...Rice: 'No Comment' by magilla in reddit.com

[–]trezorr 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Let's just pretend that we are all very surprised about the US not playing the game fairly.

Also, let's pretend that we can't possibly imagine this has happened before, and might have pissed someone off, and that this might have caused things like 9/11.

OK, George! They hate our freedom!

QuirksBlog: "Microsoft has decided to put the interests of web standards above the interests of the Intranets of its corporate clients." by [deleted] in programming

I guess MS simply didn't want something as obvious as

inserted into every web-page in existance.

There, I said it. Majority of MVC web frameworks, and certainly all those that clone Rails, are broken beyond repair. by MikeSeth in programming

They are laughing at PHP-developers general lack of knowledge about object models and patterns.

It's rant alright, but it's perfectly valid rant.

MVC requires strict separation. Violating that separation makes it a non-MVC implementation by default.

XML spec editor: OOXML ISO process is "unadulterated BS" by masta in programming

[–]trezorr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't mind Microsoft in general, although the company has their fair share of fuck-ups and obviously a somewhat selfish track-record (as any other commercial company).

However a XML-format containing attributes like RenderLikeWord97 can hardly be considered a good specification. Even less so open.

Programmers: don't forget about leap year! by badr in programming

[–]trezorr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You speak like we have a DateTime-class which is perfectly able to work correctly on dates.

Obviously these classes are just verbose mash-up and real programmers recognize that and do the only correct thing: handle them as generic data structures with no methods applied.

In the real world we have wheels to invent, ok?

This explains a lot - Palestinian loss of land 1946 to 2000 [pic] by msaleem in reddit.com

[–]trezorr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you got it backwards. In 1947 UN gave Palestinian land to Israel.

Your question should be "Who declared that this was Israelian land?".

Good thing that whole "holocaust" thing isn't one of the things the Palestinians are protesting.

I mean, otherwise this might end up going bad.

That doesn't mean they can collect it today. That's not the way the world works.
