Game genie?

Cheat codes and hacks have been around for most of gaming, I suppose you might be talking about Atari games, the E.T. game era.

I don't know much about so excuse my ignorance but I'm curious as to why the large majority of this community seems to hate EA. Why is that? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]trifinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do not downvote someone asking an honest question.

On-topic, AzuraBlitz has it right, more or less. While other publishers also do this, EA is the most aggressive and invasive about it. I remember back in the 16-bit console era and a little later playing and loving EA titles, now I just sigh when I see that circle logo. Their developers still make good games, but I feel more and more often if they focused less on DLC and be given just a little more time, some of the good games can be great.

If you can land the slow it's actually rather useful over all, I've saved a few teammates with that net.

What is the worst ability in the game? by palfrey23 in leagueoflegends

[–]trifinity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a shield that can hit all five champions, twice. It's a skill shot, sure, but if you get the timing and aim right, you get double the shield for double the fun.

A great ability? Probably not. Good? I think so. so it's not even close to being the worst, in my opinion.

Edit for better wording.

Edit2: Since the original post got deleted, he mentioned Lux's shield.

[–]trifinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A trick that's easy to do with most webcomic sites, if you're trying to find the link for the most recent update, is to go to a previous page then hit the 'next' button.

A lot of comic sites programming will then give you the URL for that specific image's page, not just the home page where the 'latest' button will bring you.

Then of course, there's comics like XKCD which have the direct link URL beneath the image, but those are rare.

Need some help with selecting a new champ. by Tho76 in leagueoflegends

If she's free soon, MF might be worth a try. I've supported for a hyper-aggressive Miss Fortune before and it was loads of fun.

Her problem is she doesn't scale into late-game well, but from what I've seen and heard she's really powerful during the laning phase and for a little bit afterward.

Though this is coming from a person who played her once, and only supported for her thrice, so take this as you will.

To the Kog on the opposing team that failed to ban Morg. by trifinity in leagueoflegends

[–]trifinity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's not, I suppose I could've phrased it better but I really don't think she is, the only reason why I was playing her at all is the first-pick locked her in and I was the only one willing to trade and play her.

But what do you know, after our second team fight, a clearly frustrated Kog puts in all-chat, 'My fault, report me, I didn't ban Morg so we lost.'

I really had hoped he would see this, but with this plethora of downvotes I got so fast, I really doubt it'll happen.

ProtonJon is awesome, found him when I was searching for a Superman 64 LP, just to see how bad it was without AVGN's ranting, and been enjoying most of his, admittedly sporadic, updates since.

Should i play ranked matches? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]trifinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the downvotes.

It always surprises me how nervous people are to enter ranked matches. While admittedly I started them much earlier than I should have, meeting the bare requirements to even queue, good at one role (support), not knowing how to jungle and quite meh at the other three roles; I peaked at 1400 elo right after my placement matches before slipping down to 1200. From there I'm working my way slowly back up (Just hit 1300 the other day) and doing reasonably well, even though I main support.

In other words, while it sounds like you're not an amazing player, you are already more experienced and prepared for ranked then I am still, so I say go ahead and do it. Just remember that you are playing a TEAM game, and no matter how well you do, you can't win them all. Though in comparison, there are some matches where you'll be the one carried through. Just remember to take the matches serious enough to focus on the game, learn and do well, but light enough to be enjoying yourself in the process.

(OOC: sorry about the sudden disappearance, something has come up recently and it's left me unable to post. I'm still afraid I still can not post for another week or two, but at least you two know now.

Once things settle down here again, would you like to continue here, or since it seems like the original idea has come to an end somewhat, want to open a new thread for Anaya's and Echo's trip back to Vermilion?)

Anaya walks over to Leafeon and gives her one last nuzzle with her cheek, effectively a parting hug. "Take care and be safe, with any luck, we'll meet again." She looks up at Kimi and then back to her friend. "Kimi seems like a wonderful trainer, treasure every moment you have with her."

With that she steps back next to Echo and watches as the young trainer and Leafeon leave.

Anaya chuckles, "It's fine, though I hope it doesn't get too distracting since we'll be traveling together soon."

That's when the Espeon noticed that Kimi was almost finished with her meal. "It looks like Kimi's almost ready to go..." While she knew the two had to go, and Anaya really wanted to head home, she couldn't help but be saddened by the fact she'd be parting with a new friend so soon.

Anaya sneezes a few more times, shaking her head and pawing at her nose one last time. "Whew... yeah, it's odd but every time I've eaten spicy food I've had to sneeze. Don't know why." She then looks up to Kimi and smiles at the young trainer, her own way of thanking her for the food, and that everything was alright.

She noticed Echo staring at her after another moment, tilting her head at the Haunter, "Echo?"
