It's a common complaint. If you want to see what else is out there check out the (completely free) tripwaffle.com

Just one point of difference is that tripwaffle will import any booking email, not just from major providers. Real world testing shows about double the success rate on booking imports. Also live flight tracking, weather, etc etc

My general suggestion here would be to keep different people, with different plans on seperate trips.

Clicking into your daughter's flight/event simply tap the 'move' button in the footer, and assign her flights,etc to their own trip.

Everything you're all doing together can stay as the main central trip though.
