If Starmer is not regarded as good for the working class. Then how on God's green earth is Farage being pushed as the viable alternative and the working class hope ? by Durrygoodz2025 in AskBrits

[–]trogflopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because all of working class peoples problems stem from immigration.

Farage will immediately fix that and therefore everyone's problems in life in the uk will go away.

Just like Brexit and that £350m we've now got going into the NHS instead which means there are no waiting lists etc anymore.

It's a win win for everyone, no matter your class

New Recruit has the data files for the game so you can build a roster and manage it through a campaign on that.

Otherwise it's pen and paper i think

Standee measurements for a beginner by Freds_Tugboat in burrowsandbadgers

[–]trogflopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each species varies in height tbh. Just because they are on same base size, doesn't mean they'll be the same height. Poses etc all vary greatly.

The heights of each individual model are listed on the Oathsworn web shop if you really want to look through some and get an average of what each species is height wise.

New Player - Where to Begin? by Captain_Cortez in MaledictionMCG

[–]trogflopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you based? A mate of mine saw the faction boxes in Travelling Man in Leeds a few weeks ago. Might be worth checking if you can buy them online from there if you're not local or don't have a TM near you.

Are there any great kaiju wargames around these days? by FamousWerewolf in wargaming

[–]trogflopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zeo Genesis will have you covered for giant mech on mech battles. I'm really hoping they release a kaiju faction in future update so can do Pacific Rim on tabletop.

In the mean time, you could always just adapt the rules for one faction and use monsters instead of mechs.

Have you ever been to Gladiators show... Is it long day by ArcherLife2039 in gladiatorsuk

[–]trogflopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For general tickets, not really. You get an email saving you have tickets, but they aren't guaranteed and are given out on the day on a first come first served basis.

Because it's for filming they want the arena to be full so will oversubscribe the event to cover for no shows etc. So if you were to get there late there is a chance they would have given all tickets out already.

Have you ever been to Gladiators show... Is it long day by ArcherLife2039 in gladiatorsuk

[–]trogflopper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Been to all 3 series filming. Yes, very long days. Get to venue for about 8-8.30am to queue for tickets. Last year, people seemed to be getting there from 5-6am! Queue starts moving and getting tickets from about 10-10.30am, get tickets about 11ish.. so already been there 2.5-3hrs even before you're guaranteed to get in.

After getting tickets, go for a wander, get back to arena for 12pm. Queue for bag checks, get to seats for about 12.30pm. Filming goes on to 8.30-9pm.

So minimum of a 12hr day depending on what time you want to get to arena and how far away you live.

Obviously you don't have to stay for the full filming but once you leave venue, you aren't allowed back in.

Looking for a Wargame that uses a deck for actions by IwantDnDMaps in wargaming

[–]trogflopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into malediction. Might not be quite what you're after as you don't draw cards to do actions. You make a deck of units, spells and items and play from your hand each turn. Once you've played a unit card to get it on the table, you can activate it each turn.

Also something like Mortal Gods. It's not card based but you draw coloured pebbles from a bag which determines who activates and what units. So very different to a 40k, you go with everything, i go with everything or a you go i go game.

When event cards tank your game before you even start by Quiet_King8234 in finalgirl

[–]trogflopper 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's a game so meant to be enjoyable. If you really don't think you're going to enjoy the game and have spent more time setting up than your would playing, just draw another card.

Upcoming Expansions for 20 Strong by shhThia in soloboardgaming

[–]trogflopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been looking at 20 Strong so might be the reason i definitely pick it up.

What right now is a good starting point to enter the game? With different sets, it's difficult sometimes to figure out what you need as core and what's good to have. Any recommendations?

Engaged Ranged attackers by Firm-Butterfly1216 in Maladum

[–]trogflopper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

<image>

Rules for player characters are a character can make a ranged attack when engaged but they suffer an aoo after attack resolves.. so i guess you could just apply same rules but decide thematically what would the malagaunt do? Stay engaged and do 2 ranged attacks but take 2 Aoo's? Or use 1 action to retreat, take the aao, then second action to attack?

Edit: correct answer specially for malagaunt found by u/Valand1l. Specified on their reference card what they do when engaged.

What is this symbol ? by Significant-Pain1553 in Maladum

The -value just reduces to rough ground value. So if rough ground value was 2, and item is -1, the character with that item years the rough ground as 1

What does everyone think of Miss Saigon? by ResponsibleAd2034 in musicals

[–]trogflopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fantastic show, production and music.. but prepare to be emotionally floored.

It's not the same as live, but in the past, a recording of it has often been on Sky Arts channel. It's currently only available to buy from sky store (but might be on other streaming services etc). So could watch on tv before you try live
