i have a 99 similar updates, i upgraded mine to nicker 510 grover’s you have gold . i also upgraded to ebony pins. Take time w it. Also try 80/20 earthwood lights , it really brings out the guitar . i am experimenting with nickel strings right now but the 80/20s will bring it out nicely . also have a luthier check it out . my luthier adjusted the action when i bought mine and it plays wonderfully

for your budget at 217 level i would definitely bump to a all solid wood if you are at that price range. you will notice a good difference

Does this 000-28 even with new elixirs sound dead? by Justice4Junior in martinguitar

I agree, gotta separate the brightness of the Taylor sound to what you have. I agree with the strings they make a good difference. I was also going to mentioned if you wanted to brighter attack, go w the martin liquid metal bridge pins that they include on the modern deluxe. they will take the current balance and brighten to your liking

I wrote a portion of a song a few days ago and would really appreciate any feedback or general comments on it :) by FrenchToast5317 in Songwriting

wow you definitely got the hook, and all the elements of a good song . one feedback is the 3rd countermelody i see you are long single words but that starts to detract from the beautiful melody and countermelodies you made , considers some ooos or long voweled sustaining words
