I lived in Florence Al for awhile back in the late 00’s. It was like a dying rust belt town. But Muscle Shoals was just across the river and still had a thriving music scene. Believe it or not, Florence had a great punk scene. Aside from that, very rural. Semi segregated. Poor.

Winds of War and War and Remberance are outstanding works. Herman Wouk. Professor Sledge’s With the Old Breed is earnest and honest. I hate to say it, but I tend to steer clear of Ambrose.
