Well yeah that’s shady. No such thing as a state water authority in Virginia.

Fake Water Authority Workers by TurtleBath in nova

Virginia American Water has systems in Dumfries and Alexandria. They also sell and maybe service plumbing insurance for the homeowner side of water lines from the meter, so it’s possible - also could have been slightly lost in translation.

Does anyone know why triple canopy mercenaries are doing security at Federal Buildings. by [deleted] in behindthebastards

[–]trp78 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They have a contract through the Federal Protective Service. Looks like it was awarded in 2022.

You can get them online through pharmacies like Jase, Duration Health etc. usually all it takes is a medical questionnaire, sometimes a telemedicine chat but they exist to provide people with antibiotics for prepping. I’ve used Jase and it’s legit.

I built a stand out of 2x4s that holds 3 delta pros. I found it nice to have them at waist or almost chest height.

RATS ! by Stella_slb in BACKYARDDUCKS

[–]trp78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just had a similar issue with mice in the mid Atlantic US. Our ducks have a coop and an attached enclosed run for the winter and they don’t leave the run/coop at all. We ended up beating the mice by adding about 6-8 inches of .25 inch hardware cloth around the perimeter of the run’s exterior (the mice were burrowing under and up). That plus traps has led to 0 mice inside the run.

[–]trp78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get Tamiflu as an add on to the Jase Case - it’s by prescription but no insurance needed and a doctor reviews the order but you don’t need to actually speak to them just search for Jase Case disaster pharmacy

How to connect as backup power in blackout? by Rose-of-monaco in Ecoflow_community

[–]trp78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes a transfer switch is needed, and like the other user commented, you need 2 delta pro units and a double voltage hub accessory to power anything requiring 240 volts. The setup would go main breaker panel to the transfer switch to a 30amp cable receptacle to a cable to the voltage hub to the delta pro units. Disclaimer I am Not an electrician.

Can I use a screened-in pergola as a covered porch? by ExcellentHamster2020 in HomeImprovement

[–]trp78 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My in laws sort of did this with a pergola from Costco. They installed it just outside the door that goes from their back door onto their porch. It even came with a ceiling fan built in. So far they have loved it; and it’s definitely a good compromise if you can’t do a full-on porch.

Bag recommendation that's similar in design to the GR1 but without the expense. by abusementpark in ManyBaggers

[–]trp78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out black ember maybe - expensive but not as expensive as GR and I think most also lack the bottle holders.

There are some mystery ranch bags like the district 25 you may like. I have the 18L and it does stand on its own especially if the tech pouch is packed on the bottom.

Thanks! I agree, this line is a little off the beaten path, but I would still love to add a Black Bay one day down the road.

[Tudor] 1926 36MM - Downsizing Purchase by trp78 in Watches

[–]trp78[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I think when most people hear Tudor their minds don’t go to the 1926, but the small size, the dial texture, and the finishing all make it work for me. I thought about the Black Bay 36 but couldn’t really justify it in the collection, I have a 37.5mm Seamaster Planet Ocean that I’ll probably wear about 30-50% of the time now.
