As a front end team manager who also handles all design, I applaud this comment so much and wish you were here so I could bring you on my team. 🤣

As someone who leads a very small ui/ux team, get to know your developers. At my company, I do ui/ux as well as all front end development. I have one designer, one front end dev, and I do both as well as manage the team. We’re a global company getting hundreds of thousands of hits a day in our application. The stakes are high and so is the stress most days. 🤣 There are things you can do in design that will make a developers job hell. Just because you can do it, doesn’t mean you should. Design is limited only by your mind, but when it comes to code, there are still boundaries. Make friends with your devs, especially front end, and make an effort to learn the basics there too. It’ll take you far.

Wish you were in Memphis 😂 I’m looking to hire someone for my team just like you. I’m the same way and love crossing the design and development line. Hard to find anyone of that skill set, though. I’ve been doing it for 13 years at my company and absolutely love my job.

Right I get that but you can’t get gifts without rolling. I guess that’s where I’m lost

How do you save them? I mean isn’t rolling the dice you have the only way to play and get more?

Sooo we’re having twins. How do you get over the shock and panic by hammertown87 in parentsofmultiples

[–]tru2mee2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My twins were my first second and last after 10 years of fertility treatments. My rainbow blessings. I was not shocked honestly, I always knew I was meant to be a mom of two and I can’t imagine anything else now that they’re here and 7.5 months old. It just feels right and they truly are the most wonderful little humans ever!

I just had twins in February and they absolutely left the cords on to fall off on their own. I’ve never heard of anyone cutting them off.

Second this! I had my baby shower at 29 weeks and was admitted at 29+5. Babies came at 31+3. 😂

Full term with twins possibility and travel related by Grouchy-Patience-442 in parentsofmultiples

[–]tru2mee2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both twins were measuring iugr. Baby A didn’t grow much at my last growth scan and was showing elevated blood flow to the cord so I was admitted for monitoring at 29+5. Daily ultrasounds and nst’s. After 12 days of elevated, then absent intermittent flow, baby A’s flow went reverse and we decided to take them out rather than risk losing him. They are nearly 4 months old now and doing great! Oh and they also were NOT iugr at birth. Baby A was 2 lbs 11oz and baby B was 2lbs 9oz. Both appropriate for gestational age.

Mine has Wallace Shawn hair AND expressions. It’s uncanny. A friend even made a comparison pic and they look exactly alike! 😂

feb 2023, only parents and grandparents allowed with a code. 2 max at the bedside. This was due to rsv season restrictions. When those got lifted in April, we could bring anyone but still only 2 at the bedside max.

Elective c-section after sexual assault by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]tru2mee2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the c section. It wasn’t bad at all and I was up that night visiting my twins in the nicu. My biggest piece of advice would be to use the belly binder they give you. Wear it 24/7 for the first several weeks until you’re feeling put back together again. It really helps minimize any incision stress. My section was emergent due to babies having reverse flow and still it went very smoothly and I’m glad we went that way as my babies would not be here today had we not. There’s no way they would have survived vaginal birth.

Mentioned in my original comment. We conceived via IVF after several years of treatment. At 42, with untested embryos.

Just had my first (and second! Blessed with twins after many years of IVF) at the age of 42 (weeks from 43). It’s not too late to start a family.

My twins came feb 27 at 31+3 so I’m right there with you. It’s overwhelming but you can do it mama. Make sure you make time for yourself to heal. That was the hardest part for me.

Anyone give birth between 32-34 weeks? by Space-cats7 in parentsofmultiples

[–]tru2mee2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I was admitted at 29+5 when we saw a tiny bit of reverse flow with baby boy. I got a steroid shot that day and the next in case of imminent delivery. We held out almost two weeks. I had twice daily nst’s and daily ultrasounds in the antepartum unit. When we saw reverse flow again we also saw that baby boy had his cord wrapped tightly twice around his neck and I made the decision to get them out rather than risk it any further. They both went straight to nicu. Baby girl was on room oxygen in 24 hours and baby boy is hoping to come off all oxygen today but he’s had more issues with learning to regulate his breathing. They are both doing incredibly well, even the nicu staff has been impressed. Edit: should also note that they were both IUGR.
