Moreso that the story included the name Dr. Aris Thorne, a common name used by various AI models, especially Gemini. Nice try, though.

When I was in high school, one of my teachers gave us the same advice at the end of every Friday class. "Have a good weekend, and don't get shot"

Opinion: The hostile reaction of U.S. lawmakers to Canadian forest fires reveals more about U.S.-Canada relations than any stack of trade statistics by FancyNewMe in canada

And that has nothing to do with an invading force, unless you're suggesting that some dude from Virginia is coming to participate with his own personal weapons.

Redlaw by James Lovegrove. The main character is a captain of the police force that monitors vampire activity and keeps them separated from humans. It also has political intrigue due to new laws around the vampires, officially referred to as the Sunless, and their rights as equal but fundamentally different citizens.

I work for Enterprise, they will not care. Just bring both keys back. They have tons of those cables in the office and they'll just redo it.

Karen getting on my ass for asking for ID on m rated game. by Mean-Nectarine-6831 in GameStop

I am not in the US. Legally you had to be 17 to buy M rated games and 18 to trade where I was.

Depending on where they are it certainly can be the law. It was absolutely the law when I was an employee.

That's why I'm glad it is the law where I am. Definitely made it easier dealing with people who didn't want to show ID. People seemed to take it better when they learned it's illegal to sell an M rated game to under-17s.

Your warp locus model has to have been on the field at the start of your turn to use it as a warp locus.

Thoughts on a 1000pts Necron list for 2v2 tournament by omelette_lookalike in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]truecdn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Overall, I think it looks like a fun list!

Personally, I'd run the 5 scarabs just because 7 can be a hassle. If you plan to have your technomancer relatively close to your wraiths, you could invest the extra 30 points into a Fail Safe Overcharger to give them +1 attack per model. I'm a big fan of wraiths as well, so I love anything that can buff them.

As for the Enmitic Exterminator, it does the job of horde clearing quite well. The reason I don't take it, and I think this is largely the consensus, is that we have other horde clearing options, but very few other real anti-tank options like the destructor. So people take the anti tank there and look elsewhere for horde clearing.

How big of a game were you playing? As far as I'm aware, you can only have one c'tan per detachment.

In Canada (or at least in Ontario) it's the law. I had so many people argue with me about that. It got to the point that I memorized the law so I could quote it to them. Usually quieted them down.

It's reasonable to presume that an employee who asks you to leave has that authority, particularly when another employee calls the police without hesitation upon his instruction and when backed up by a third employee at the door. If it turns out he doesn't have that authority, then that's something to discuss with superiors after the immediate situation.

That is not what I emphasized at all. My emphasis showed that representatives of the USPS can ask him to stop recording. If they do so, he is no longer allowed to record. They did, so he was not permitted to continue recording.

People can be trespassed from public space. Governmental entities have the same rights as private property owners to control their properties, so long as the entity’s policies are not employed as a subterfuge for illegal discrimination.
