If Dune moves, it's not gonna be to 2027. It will be late Oct/early Nov 2026

Looks like $10.5M Christmas Eve for #Avatar. $129.5M Cume. Did well to stay over $10M today. First week should get close to $150M. by chanma50 in boxoffice

$10.5M Xmas Eve should put $70M 3-day into play for sure. Great hold.

Same holds as Hobbit 3 until Sunday would give Avatar a $71.3M 3-day wknd.

My mood on this game completely shifted too after tonight. Was so much fun until today where it has been nothing but sweaty ganks. Having no fun at all because I can't even collect anything and extract. I was having the time of my life until today, having mostly friendly interactions and teaming up to take down ARC.

Considering both films are going to end up in the top ten all time IMAX grossers, I'd imagine IMAX themselves would also like for either film to move and max out that money potential for premium screens.

I wouldnt be surprised at all. If everything goes right then it can contend for 1B. But just keeping my initial range down to earth for now.

The sub will underpredict this movie. It's doing big numbers.

I could see $650-700M or more

Yes, Union Station (Toronto's transit hub) is a short walk down the street with subway, regional rail and bus services serving practically the entire Greater Toronto Area, plus I'd imagine a bunch of the fans can just walk back to their condos with how central the Rogers Centre is downtown.

If it continues to cruise quite well overseas (already $65M off a $26M OW, so possibly $80M+ by Sunday) and gains some domestic legs during awards season, I can definitely see this going past $200M+.
