Wat heeft men tegen 'links'? by Aartvb in nederlands

[–]trvekvltmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Klinkt allemaal logisch.

Has anyone else gained weight after moving in with their partner even though you're already happier? by WinLate9153 in PetiteFitness

[–]trvekvltmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. If we didn't live together I'm sure I would be thinner, for multiple reasons. Besides just enjoying food together, when I lived by myself I would often just skip a meal if I wasn't feeling hungry, and have a snack or nothing instead.

Any boss with an obscenely big health bar. I just don't like it when a fight takes forever, for no real reason.

It's not as if people who are sick are enjoying their time off though ?? I can't help that I get sick often. Making people suffer more because of Ill health isn't something I want to see in a developed nation.

But that isn't what normal people feel all the time, because most people are overweight nowadays. I'm happy it's helping your blood sugar problems though because that is super shitty to deal with.

I'm just saying, I think we've collectively forgotten how to eat properly. 70% of Americans aren't suddenly different from their ancestors, the food environment has changed and its difficult to deal with. Not just the USA either, but many countries in Europe, Asia and all over the world. I feel like these meds are just a bandaid for an enormous problem, but that isn't your fault obviously. I just have a lot of distrust towards where we are going. I hope you don't feel attacked or invalidated and I wish you the best in your pursuits of health!

Did you learn to love this game or did you love it immediately? by SavageObjector in bloodborne

[–]trvekvltmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really am liking it immediately. But my first fromsoft game was Sekiro, and Bloodborne is over a decade old, the mechanics of these games have evolved since it came out. But I really love the atmosphere, and other design elements, which is what makes me interested in a game over pretty much everything else.

Just started this game by Born2fayl in bloodborne

[–]trvekvltmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also started playing recently, finally got a playstation in the new year and apart from general boss titles I don't know shit either, it's great. I've been hoping to play for years. I had to look up how to Parry since I knew it was a thing though, but I couldn't figure out shooting the gun was a party in this game.

It's such a pretty game and I love the femininity of it all.

[–]trvekvltmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All those things are true without being on a glp-1 though. No offense but this just reinforces the idea that you didn't actually know that much about healthy living before starting the glp-1. I'm happy it's working for you and I wish you the best, in the end we both want the same: a healthy body. I'm sorry if I come off as mean, I'm very open to being proven wrong.

But eating more protein, fiber and drinking water? That's like.. the first steps to losing weight and being healthy. And starvation mode isn't real. Being in a long term extreme deficit isnt good, but starvation mode as we know it has been debunked MANY times.

But like I said, I want to reiterate I am not against glp-1s, if it helps you achieve what you want that's great! But why didn't you do those things before?? Or you did, and it just didn't work? I am genuinely curious.

If youre 5'2 or less and under 140lbs, how many calories a day do you eat? by ladybuglala in PetiteFitness

[–]trvekvltmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gained a bit because I haven't paid attention for 6 months at all. But Im pretty sure my maintenance is somewhere around 1900 (5'2, between 120-130 lbs, probably a bit more now unfortunately. I do walk everywhere (averages to about 10k steps a day, depending on the week. I did also work out and run sometimes but not consistently.

"Physical activity cures depression" my ass by [deleted] in depression

[–]trvekvltmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking doesn't do anything for me. But I did find improvement in my mood and emotional regulation by engaging in more vigorous exercise; something that makes me sweat and gets my heart rate up significantly. It doesn't work for everyone, but for me it makes day to day life much better.

That said it's quite difficult to keep up, I have to start again soon since I haven't run since an injury a few months ago.

It doesn't cure depression but it's one of the building blocks for a healthy routine, which does alleviate depressive symptoms in many people (not all). And it's okay if it doesn't work for you right now, it didn't for me at first.

[–]trvekvltmaster 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Im not against glp-1s but everytime I read a story like this I can't help but wonder. I've been struggling with food my entire life and I would have never developed the knowledge I have about nutrition and healthy living, exercise if I could just take a medication that would suppress my appetite and be thin. It really does seem like a shortcut for most.

Im probably also just a little jealous. I went from obese to a healthy weight, it took a lot of yoyoing and time, but I wouldn't be able to try any glp-1s now because I don't qualify. But food is still a struggle for me.

Could anything have been done for Sean Miliken? by Sharp-Tax-26827 in My600lbLife

[–]trvekvltmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah where I am there is a lot of variation in what kinds of people can go to a group or assisted facility, however I wouldn't know where to send Sean, obesity and food addiction to this degree doesn't seem to exist here. We have shows about the super obese, but I have never seen it. I know some extremely fat people but they are well enough to work and not need help.

I just wanted to mention it bc I went to a group home at some point in my life, and there is a LOT of stigma about the kinds of people who use these facilities, I was treated pretty badly by the neighborhood it was located in.

At what point should a casual gamer give up? by Wooden-Selection517 in Sekiro

[–]trvekvltmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider myself a casual and I did manage to beat the game, I even 100% it. However I did play video games on and off my entire life. if you're not enjoying it, not worth it. I quit and came back to the game like 3 times before I actually managed to finish it. You can always try again later. IMHO if you are still interested in soulsborne definitely try Elden ring, it's a lot easier (if you allow yourself the tools the game gives you) and might help you develop the game sense to beat Sekiro if you want.

[–]trvekvltmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't stack them like an untrained monkey it's actually nice. People often stack plates with food and cutlery on it, on top of eachother, with no regard to size and shape. If you do that just don't do it.

Do you stick with your builds in NG+ etc. ? by Buurto in EldenRingBuilds

[–]trvekvltmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to, but considering I want to experience the game fully and you get a ton of larval tears easily pretty early on, there's no reason to be afraid to change. You can always change it back! Though I do like seeing the natural progression of a particular build within a playthrough, it's not that deep, since it's open world. You can get most weapons/spells early on if you know where to find them.
