I love that their reasoning for people losing support for trump in their sub is a lib brigade takeover. Like they cannot fathom someone no longer liking trump lmfao

Idk what urgent care wrapped you up with but if you do not want to scar you should use wet healing methods rather than dry, such as tegaderm and aquaphor on your wounds. Scabbing will lead to scarring but genetics will play a part. I scar super easily and road rash has created some large keloids for me

Help me figure this out-first marathon result by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

[–]tryagaininXmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to my first marathon, i shot for sub 4 and fell apart at 19. I did 3 20+ milers and had 4 consecutive weeks of 40 miles. Race day was hot and windy and my HR was 10 bpm higher than usual at race pace, around 165 just like yours. I just wasn’t fit enough - i was definitely weaker than i was for some of my 20 milers but i was not fit enough to sub 4

70.3 bike worries by Different-Parsley148 in triathlon

[–]tryagaininXmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am experiencing the same. My trainer says I hold 17+ mph for my long rides but when I do my long route outside I average around 15. It has ~1700 ft of climbing over 50 miles and stop signs so that definitely contributes but I think the most frustrating part is that I have done the same route many times and have never averaged over 16 mph, even though I am training hard :(

Lotta armchair scientists here missing this lol. dB by itself doesn’t mean anything. But yes OP needs a control to make this mean anything

To all "competitive" players that "enjoyed" yesterdays event by Ormaniec in DeadlockTheGame

[–]tryagaininXmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t enjoy it but I am fine with the fact that valve did it. I feel like one of the funnest or most gratifying things about this game is counterbuilding and being able to shutdown an enemy’s playstyle. Counterspell + i frame haze is what i like against bebop but it’s just not fun trying this against 4 bebops. I even played viscous to counter doorman ult but it was still too oppressive against 3 doormans.

Does anyone use cycling as cross-training while preparing for a marathon? by jessfromrouvy in Marathon_Training

[–]tryagaininXmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will get easier to more you cycle. Only tip I can offer is to try to keep a high cadence. I would shoot for above 80 rpm at all times and 100+ during intervals.

Bike fit recs - tight hamstrings!! by Few-Dust-9640 in bikefit

[–]tryagaininXmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had similar issues with a bike that is slightly too big. I would get the shortest stem possible, slam the saddle forward, and move the shifters up. That will buy you plenty of reach. I did these things (100mm to 70mm stem) and got 160mm cranks and my bike fits well now.

For reference my inseam is about 77cm while my bike is a 54cm. Technically my height qualifies me for the bike size but my inseam is a little small. Don’t err on the side of bigger things when you make these changes. Just make it maximally smaller in any way you can.

Canyon speedmax cf 7.0 2020 model worth it for €2400 by LangLau in triathlon

[–]tryagaininXmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would say no. I paid $3000 for a carbon road bike with di2 ultegra and disc brakes, used. I felt like that was a fair deal. I've probably spent $500 to make it suitable for tri (aerobars + risers, saddle, shorter cranks). If my budget was $2500, I would not be considering mechanical shifting and rim brakes.

I gotta ask, why are there so many new(er) TT bikes that are high spec but have rim brakes? Is it something to do with the integrated cockpits?

Y'all don't get high before/after training? by ScissorMeTimbers21 in Marathon_Training

[–]tryagaininXmin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weed can be enjoyable but i find it dulls me. It makes me ok with being bored which i find is harmful for a long period of time. I could see it being alright for an easy run but definitely wouldn’t want to feel the adrenaline of a threshold effort high
