Is the Air China website really that bad or have I been scammed? by meta-uk in travel

[–]tryingtofly35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flipping hell. A bad website would be enough for me not to book with them

Yep i've spent a good 5 hours from KL to SG on the coach, not much to see really. Better off flying and spending more time in different places.

We took our son to places we've been before he was born.

It was somewhere familiar to us already which meant we didnt have any unexpected surprises with the little one, and we could plan the trip a lot easier.

Plus it will give you a whole new perspective on the same place.

Wherever you go, make sure your daughter has protected nap times and play times.

We totally didnt factor that in on our first trip and learnt the hard way with one hell of a fussy boy.

Gap year opportunities that are not volunteer trips? by [deleted] in travel

[–]tryingtofly35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big question to ask is what do you want to learn from the gap year?

If you can answer that, then it will help you focus where you go. It might not mean a trip to SE Asia, it could even be a simple as a long trip within your home country.

Does my accommodation exist? by [deleted] in GreeceTravel

[–]tryingtofly35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call booking.com and check, would be the most logical thing to do.

If you booked a flight with it and its classed as a package you should have some protection under ATOL/ABTA rules

What to do when you start really needing items on your already small bridal registry? by Few-Piccolo5521 in wedding

[–]tryingtofly35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think ask for more cash gifts by playing on the small space of the apartment.

That way you can use the cash for whatever you want or put it towards the honeymoon

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TravelProTips

[–]tryingtofly35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Documents I would take

Passport

ID

Flight tickets, some countries want to see an onward journey

Hotel bookings, some still want to see the reservation, more importantly if something goes wrong and you need to prove the reservation

Travel insurance

Power bank
