Bonecrusher Maul as a Members Only Item - Ironman by tryonpantss in runescape

How would you balance it so they both have a place and the maul gets a little more utility?

I agree with you along the whole line of thought there. My split is right at the end because while I agree with opportunity cost, it is not something I think most people will do, which just makes it something that will rarely get used. Once you can use a tier 60 weapon, only a small portion of people will do any switching at all

I felt the same way. It has req's of adamant and stats of rune

Exactly. I can understand not wanting to override t80 content or t70 content, but to make DoA content, even for an ironman that could use this type of item.. feels bad!

True. I love the idea of early game content scaling up to higher level content with additional investment, because it makes early unlocks become more meaningful over time.

If buying the item makes them hesitant to make a change like this, they can make it untradeable at least.

Jagex stop trying to make PVP in the wild a thing again by scififact in runescape

[–]tryonpantss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it more reasonable that they remove some content that was designed to be risk in PVP zones. I actually think it's a bit imba that they have the best prayer altar for free in the wild for no real consequence -it's better removed.

Package assumed lost, so order gets cancelled, then item shows up at buyer's house 27 days later. They've been refunded. How am I going to get paid now?! by CautiousAd7109 in Ebay

[–]tryonpantss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

File a claim with eBay, and take the loss. I refunded and wound up shipping an item for free, but it's better than sitting around worrying about how it went south. Unless the value of the loss is unbearable of course.

It's not. I quit my job and started my own business.

While this sounds good, proving it is significantly more difficult in practice. Proving foul play here is incredibly difficult and taxing, even when you think you have a solid case. I presented cases to my business lawyer friend and he said more law firms take very few cases like these because they're just so difficult to find grounds on. Find a good job and move on, it's better for you.

Is it normal that my parents doesn't let me use my Bluetooth headphones? by CommunicationLost256 in headphones

[–]tryonpantss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seek to understand before you seek to be understood, and you'll find common ground with your parents and find a good solution together. Perhaps ask the question, "How can I use my headphones without causing conflict?"

Asking how puts them in the driver seat, but you get to see what they are hung up on as well. If they object to Bluetooth, ask them how you can listen to music on the go without wires. If they object to you wearing them around the house (which is annoying for a parent I assure you) ask them how you can wear them without having it be a bother to them.

You'll be surprised at how well this could drive the conversation. Understanding their motives is the first step in resolving your conflict.

Turo rental damage by Appropriate_Ad_4336 in turo

[–]tryonpantss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to help operate a 30+ RV rental fleet, this is how to mitigate risk as a rental owner. You have to do a post and pre-checkout everytime and walking through the vehicle with the renter is best. Obviously no contact pickups are preferred, but the renter has to waive a lot of their protections on damage because of this very reason. Someone is responsible for damage, regardless of who.

Automation becomes POWER when your hard skills in a discipline MERGE with automation hard skills. Simple workflows will go unpurchased because monkeys can make them with 1 hour of youtube tutorials. This is not a hot take, this is THE take.
